There’s a ton of options in Pazzamazza CBD but Sariwan won my vote this day, largely because they had a Korean-only menu that intrigued and delighted me. Fiiiiine it also challenged me. What, did they think I would not enjoy the intricate and unpronounceable delicacies on the non-English menu? Could I not still point at the pictures and grunt? Could I not stitch myself up by ordering a version of tripe from an animal I wasn’t familiar with laced with exotic flavours I would not be capable of explaining to anyone if I tried? Well. .. in the end all of this was true and I had to hand the Korean menu back and ask for the English one. Oh, for shame. The man was cool though, he just laughed and brought me a fork to sit alongside my chopsticks. I was too embarrassed to argue. And the Bulgogi and the Bibimbap came, and I saw that they were good. And lo, did they taste even better than they looked, the bulgogi spiked with a bunch of chilli that had my tongue singing with happiness. Even jagged a handshake on the way out from the old man. He was still laughing.
