Aerodome

Wow! This place is a rip off!
I’ll admit I might be SLIGHTLY biased since when I went I had been royally screwed by Jetstar. (Oh Jetstar, how I hate you!) Basically, my flight to Melbourne was delayed. BY TEN HOURS. After waiting HOURS and being told NOTHING by the constantly-​trying-​to-​be-​avoided-​and-​incredibly-​vague Jetstar staff, we were told the flight was cancelled til the next morning, and that Jetstar had been unable to find us accommodation for the night (as an airline is meant to do when such an incredible cock-​up occurs). This was on a Tuesday night. They told us all the accommodation in Perth was booked out. ON A TUESDAY. And had been for two weeks.
WHAT. A LOAD. OF CRAP.
So we had the choice of taking our luggage and going home for six hours before coming back the next morning and going through check-​in AGAIN, or sleeping on the floor in the airport.
Jetstar’s compensation was a food/​drink voucher for Aerodome to the value of $ 8.
Seriously, can you believe it?
So the next morning I return, totally zonked out and grouchy as hell, but determined to use what little (read: ludicrous) compensation I was given, so I line up with the rest of the disgruntled Jetstar passengers to grab some snacks for the flight. I got a coke and a small tub of pringles. It cost nearly $ 10. Jetstar’s compensation wasn’t even enough to buy a drink and a snack. One or the other, sure. But both? That’s obviously a too much to ask for.
So in my opinion Aerodome is WAY overpriced — especially for the quality of food and drink they have to offer. You are much better off buying what you want downstairs at Relay or Hudson’s.
Oh, and Jetstar? Never fly with them! Never, ever! That is all.
