I dig this place. I had only popped in for chocolate or for a drink when shopping in the past, last weekend was the first time that I dined there. I had the udon from the Sushi Bar. It was sensational and very reasonable at $ 12.50. The Sushi Bar also sells a great range of rice and noodle dishes, plus brown and black rice sushi, which you never see in Perth. There are a couple of café stands within the food hall, one that had a long line for their freshly squeezed juices. There is a bakery that sells mostly sweet baked goods — super chewy cookies, cupcakes, macarons and much more. The bulk lolly counter is one of my favourite areas, all the sweet, sour and soft gummy contenders are there. Let’s just say I’ve dropped a fair few dollars at this counter. They have a pretty solid selection of boxed chocolates, great for dinner party gifts. For lunch, dinner, snacks or a nice dinner party gift this place should be your first stop.

This is the café stall at the far part of the foodcourt, toward the liquor shop and decorated in lime green. The varieties of interesting salads here are awesome and have left the other salad counter in the food hall for dead. The café is owned and operated by someone outside of David Jones, so there is a personal investment in the quality of food made here. The salads are much more exiting than your typical greek and Caesar and every bit the satisfying, light lunch. In additional to salads, they serve other healthy lunch bits like bagels, zucchini and chicken patties and crunchy schnitzels. The café also produce some smooth Fiori coffees as well as beautiful cakes with thick icing. The pink Marshmallow cake is a spectacle and outrageously sweet!
