Ohhhh Gorman, why do you do this to me?! It’s pay day and I enter your store, an hour later, a pay cheque down and I am drowning my buyers regret with copious amounts of wine. Every collection Gorman releases there are usually at least 2 things that I can’t stop thinking about. They always use the loveliest fabrics and you can tell care is really taken with these garments. I have dresses & shirts from Gorman that look just as good now as they did 3 – 4 years ago. My big tip if you are a bit low on $$ is to wait towards the end of the season when they have sales as there is usually heavy discounts & also try out the Harbour town outlet store, it is heaven!

I love Gorman because of its bright colours and geometric prints. It’s a real joy to wonder and browse through the garments. The colours and general quirky, artsy style always makes me smile and feel a little gooey inside. What can I say, I am an art student who obsesses about colour. Despite my love for this brand, it is quite pricey. The basic organic cotton tops start at around $ 70 – 90 and most dresses range between $ 150 – 250. On a happier note, they have a store in Harbour Town that I might hit up and hopefully grab myself a bargain!

I first discovered Gorman in October of last year whilst on a visit to Melbourne and was quickly drawn into the store with its vivid and fun window display and was even more mesmerised once I walked in and saw the colours and prints in front of me. As I was short for time I didn’t have a good look at everything in the store but when I got back to Perth this year and was aimlessly wandering down Enex 100 and saw Gorman I was over the moon! I took my time looking at the clothes that reminded me a lot of what I think modern stylish hippies would wear today; with the bright colours, tribal and vintage prints, light weight cottons all comfy and flowy save the price, that I must admit is pretty hefty. I was informed however that some of their garments are organic and sustainable which has a slight effect on the price nevertheless if I could afford to pay $ 200 for a simple cotton dress I so would cause they are darling!
