Awesome venue. Great food and healthy as well. One of the female staff members looks like she came out of «orange is the new black»(female prison show) adds flair to the overall service experience. Should be back later this week. Respect.

Been to Mama’s many times, the food is consistently good. They now have more vegetarian options and I tried the vege Bahn Mi(Vietnamese roll) for the first time and was impressed. They also offer fresh coconuts which are refreshing and hydrating. Girl serving today could have had more personality but the food makes up for that.

I have previous written a review for this location but it appears on the Milligan Street page. Since my last review Mama Tran in the Carillon has become a staple lunch venue for me. They do very good simple Vietnamese food. Having now tried the Vietnamese Salad, Broken Rice and Banh Mi it is hard to split which of these is actually the better dish! I can always find something delicious to eat here, and don’t be put off by the simplicity of the food(especially the Broken Rice dish) their use of flavors for a small food vendor is outstanding. Rice Paper Rolls start at around $ 6.00 with the Banh Mi $ 8.00 their hot dishes are a little more expensive around the $ 10.00 — $ 12.00 mark. Hidden up in the Level Three Eatery of the Carillon there is plenty of seating as it shares this space with one other vendor Newton’s Circle.
