Off Ya Tree

Really friendly staff, have had four piercings at the off your tree in the city. :)

Off Ya Tree features a lovely array of items intended to smoke «tobacco»…but their actual purpose is clear to all and sundry. There’s some beautiful bongs for sale, especially the glass ones with lovely, almost other-​worldly designs, plus some novelty ones [Tigger bong, anyone?]
Aside from selling bongs and pipes, Off Ya Tree also sells piercings. None of their piercings are tame — some of them look like weapons a ninja would use as an assassination tool. Others are so massive that it’s a wonder it would stay on the human body at all.
The staff at Off Ya Tree are friendly and helpful, and browsing through Off Ya Tree is a good argument for decriminalising weed — it does make people happier.

I like this place, it makes me feel slightly ‘bad ass’ just going inside. That sounds really lame, but let me kind of justify. The staff for a start are covered in colourful tattoos and piercings everywhere possible.
Band shirts fill the racks and all sorts of body piercings hang from display counters. I have a few piercings and love seeing what different jewellery I can fill them with, this place is always fun for that. A cool pair of skull earrings came into my possession last time I visited this cool little store.

This place is mega-​funky and very appropriate for piercings and inappropriate-​thing shopping. I got a weird ear piercing here recently. The staff are very professional and knowledgable on piercings, and they also took great care in the cleanliness of the whole procedure and the pre-​post piercing care. With a huge variety of actual piercings too, you’d be spoilt for choice if you’re keen to get pierced. I wouldn’t go anywhere else…

If you’re after a store that is sure to wipe you clean off Aunt Mavis’ Xmas card list, pay a visit to Off Ya Tree to win the seal of disapproval. In a similar style to Happy High Herbs’ completely wacky and incredibly out there aesthetic, this place is not for the prim and proper. With bright neon green and purple signage screaming out from the shop window on hay street, this store is hard to miss and is known for making ladies clutch at their pearls whilst crying ‘Why, I never!’
Although the name might suggest they provide an exotic range of psychotropics and party drugs, to my surprise Off Ya Tree actually sells a range of clothing, accessories and body jewelry for Perth’s alternative/​rockabilly/​psychobilly/​punk rock types. Think lots of skulls, cherries and hardcore music blaring out of the store speakers.
If you’re in need of a new dermal anchor, a novelty bong or flavoured papers, a sick pair of creepers or are thinking a new body piercing is in order, Off Ya Tree can hook you up. They’ve got a whole heaps of crazy stuff which requires a good afternoon and an open mind for some entertaining browsing.
Although the store might be a little intimidating and obscene for some, the staff here are super friendly and they didn’t even turn me away for my lack of tattoos! If you’ve any queries about taking care of body mods, they’re only too happy to chat with you about minimizing a chance of developing keloids, when to go up a gauge if you’re into lobe stretching or advice on where to get your tattoos touched up. Noice.
