Great korean bbq place that can cater to large groups. I would recommend the beef sets over the pork set which includes cuts of beef, banchan, soup and pancake. Service can sometimes be a little lacking but is generally friendly. Make sure you ask for the soy/vinegar sauce with chives in it.

I been here 3 times. First time ordered 8x Pork belly variety with the Beef Set for 2. With the kimchee soup it was really filling for 3 ppl and the experience was ok. Second time had the Beef set for 2 for 2 ppl, the taste of the meat wasnt great but i love the whole bbq experience so came back 3rd time. THIS time ordered the Beef set for 4 for jus me and my partner on a fri(15 min waiting for table) and OMG the food was so different with this set. This came with pancake and kimchi soup and so much plate of meat. Especially the last plate of beef was soooo tender and yummy. the trick is to not cook it for too long. We didnt finish everything of course but we were really happy with the meal. Ordered too much soju(1x bottle each) so we ended up being the last ppl in restaurant and they didnt hurry us up like some places. Highly recommend Beef Set for 4PPL! P. S.Toilets are not the best. Floor is really slippery due to all the fumes from cooking… you WILL stink. But take ur time and you will have fun :)

Working with all men in a team means that a work function is held at a Korean bbq place where the dudes are looking to show off their skills by cooking their own meat on the table, basking in the smell(stink) of the cooking fumes, and eat like there is no tomorrow. Definitely not for the ladies. Unfortunately to add to this, palsaik is definitely not a venue for a work function. Here are the reasons why: 1. They don’t take bookings 2. They refuse to open their upstairs private room area until 6. 3. They refuse to seat you until your entire group arrives(all 16 of you). 4. The language barrier means everything is non negotiable. Then when you order(the dramas) — Don’t you dare try to order a combo, a bibimbab or anything that automatically comes with rice. No that is for lunch and even if it was your last meal on earth, they can not make an exception. You try to ask for noodles in soup with meat ie do you serve noodle soup with chicken. Answer is «soup only“‘. You ask for chicken bulgogi and get told«spicy only». You say ok I want this and they refuse to serve it to you because it is spicy only. After much discussion you can order it and get a dish that is average spicy only.(Why make such a big deal out of it?) Oh and don’t try to order the hot tea that comes in a can. Apparently their supplier disappeared so they will never serve it but will retain this elusive drink on their menu. All hassles aside of getting a seat and ordering, food is good. The chicken bulgogi is delicious. The fried dumplings with the salad are flavoursome. Wagyu beef is oh so tender. Warnings: You will drop chopsticks due to proximity of seating and large dishes on table including the portable stove. Trying to get the attention of the waitress is difficult. They are super busy within minutes of opening so they are not too concerned with service. If you like crowded noisy places with bad service but decent food this is the place for you.

We had the pork belly set with 8 flavours(their namesake); and this comes at ~$ 60 including a seafood stew. This comfortably feeds 3 people; and you can change the steamboat set to another soup if you prefer and pay the difference in price. When you enter, you write your name and party size down on their waiting list, but if you come at the correct time the wait isn’t too long. You will leave the place smelling like everybody’s dinner so come prepared. Store your stuff within the seats to protect them(somewhat) from the cooking fumes, but it’s a fun place to have dinner and so just chill and enjoy smelling like bbq. It’s part of the fun. You are mostly cooking on your own, and the servers can come and help you out if you ask. We also had the bossam, which is cooked pork belly and it’s great with the salad and rolled up in the lettuce leaves. Dinner comes to about $ 30−40/pax depending on what you order.

For all pork lovers, rejoice! You are in for a treat for the 8 flavour pork belly. After hearing about Palsaik Namoo Korean BBQ from Urbanspoon and as a recommendation from my friend who has tried the 8 flavour pork belly in Melbourne, we decided to head to there for dinner with my family friends. The restaurant was full when we arrived. Apparently if the restaurant is full, you have to write your name down on the waiting list in front of the counter and take a number and wait for it to be called. As my friend’s mum was there early, not long after we arrived we managed to get ourselves a table for 7. You might have queue for a while to eat at Palsaik Namoo. We had to brace walking on slippery floors to our tables as the floor was quite oily which was only the down part. Otherwise, the restaurant looks like one of those typical Korean BBQ restaurants which you can find in Korea. After having a look at the menu, it was not hard to decide what to order. So we ordered the 8 flavour pork belly/Palsaik set($ 59.80). The flavours were wine, original, ginseng, garlic, herb, curry, miso paste and red pepper paste. The set comes with the seafood soybean paste stew, steamed rice and assorted vegetables. Overall, the pork belly was very delicious and you get to taste each of the 8 flavours. For Part 2 of our meaty adventure, we had the Beef Combo B($ 76). The Beef combo consists of the seafood pancake for starters, the meats were tenderloin, beef rib, marinated spicy cube roll and the marinated spicy sliced pork. It also comes with kimchi soup with rice, side dishes, vegetables and the Palsaik beef sauce. The seafood pancake was cooked perfectly with the edges of the pancake being crispy. Overall, the meat was also very fresh and my favourite of the meat was the marinated spicy cube roll. At the end of dinner, I was really full. It was a indeed a meat fest celebrated with the 8 flavours of pork belly and the beef combo. Luckily we had a company of 7 which we managed to order more food to try and to finish all of the food we ordered. As they always say, «the more, the merrier.» Highly recommended if you are into pork, meat and Korean BBQ.

Been twice. Not my favourite Korean but not sure we ordered well. I thought the banchan and kimchi portions were on the stingy side. Service isn’t great and it was difficult to find someone who spoke English. If you’re a Korean cuisine newbie, I’d get a meat set instead of ordering ala carte.

I hate to buck the trend, but I only had an ok time at Palsaik Namoo on Saturday night. We didn’t have to wait for a table, at 7pm on a Saturday, so that was great. The fit out is quite nice and the prices are pretty reasonable. The food was good, the main let down was that we didn’t receive hardly any service the whole night apart from when they led us to the table and then took our order. We were without any toppings for 90% of or meal, so we were just eating the plain meat and rice — not ideal! We didn’t order one of the set combination meals, so I think maybe that threw the staff off as they weren’t sure what we wanted. Luckily the kimchi pancake was delicious and added some flavour to our otherwise bland dining experience.

Koren BBQ at it’s best! The entire vibe of the place is brilliant and the staff make a great effort to be accomodating and efficient. If you haven’t been before don’t be afraid to ask(or look at the people next to you) on how to cook and do everything, sometimes it may be a good idea to bring a friend who has been before– I raise my hand for the invite! Haha! I ordered the large share meat meal which was option ‘B’ I think. And we got an assortment of soup, bbq, salad, korean pankcake, rice and an array of different types of meat from chicken to beef to pork. They come and clean the cooking plate regularly, will bring out the meats fast and efficiently while you eat and will offer the one friend a fork who seemed to have struggles to eat anything with chopsticks! I have been back to this place 3 times within 6 months and I could go many more because of its great social vibe it brings with normal dinner conversation and the excellent price, rarely having to pay more than $ 40 pp.

Love love love this Korean joint. The service is really quick and fairly attentive, and the food is great! I haven’t had a bad experience there yet. and I’ve been about 5 times. The portion of food is huge! Usually even if they state the portion of food is for 2. we can never finish it all! Which is great value for money. Bonus! Really recommend the 8 flavoured pork that they are well known for. The flavours are great! Just a nice hint of each flavour without actually masking the true sweetness of the pork. The Pork is always nice and succulent.(Pork is one of my favourite meat) That pork set also comes with sides dishes and rice and also a seafood stew! Should definitely give this place a go if you haven’t been before, and if you have been before. most of you could agree it’s a great place. But be warned. they fill up fairly quickly! Go in early to get a seat or if you don’t mind. go later on the night to avoid a long queue! Go on and try it now if you haven’t already!

new korean bbq. service is quite poor — guess coz it’s new, so the staff are not very attentive. still missing all the small dishes that should come with the meal — we only had 2. we had bbq bulgolgi, hot plate, bibimba and kimchi pancake. i really like the kimchi pancake — & probably only that dish for me…

This has been my best Korean BBQ experienced in Perth, and the fact it fills up before 6PM and they do not take books is probably a testament to the fact many others concur. Despite the pace everyone moves at the services is always friendly, and you are never waiting too long to order more or have clutter cleared away. They do BYO wines, which with an IGA and BWS in close proximity is not a problem for anyone — which is always appreciated. The servings have been generous to the point we have not been able to round up enough people to make a big dint in the menu! however the food I have had was beautifully cut and prepared; extremely tasty.

Good food, good price! I love Korean food, it was definitely one of the things I missed most when I was working overseas and there wasn’t a local restaurant near by. I have my usual favourites I like in Perth, but decided to give this joint a shot. Its located close to the intersection of Hay & Barrack. The building is this weird 3 split level set up but is kinda neat. We were seated quickly and handed our menus. The place is fairly busy and you got that authentic vibe. The menus themselves are the best for first timers as it offers little description. Fortunately I knew how to navigate the menu and ended up with a very tasty pork dish to go along with my kimchi pancake! The staff were friendly, although they seemed a little bit spread thin with the number of tables seated. There was a minor communication barrier although we managed to figure everything out in the end. If you want to do the DIYBBQ they offer that too, looking at the menu that’s probably best done with a group of 4 or more. PS. They now take credit cards/eftpos

Full disclosure, I have not eaten much Korean yet. This is maybe my third experience having Korean. There are virtually no Korean restaurants where I grew up. However, I did have Korean out of a food truck in Washington DC and found that quite good. The interior of Namoo was very modern with three levels, dark wood, and block, metal furniture. It was a lively environment. As I do not have much experience with Korean food and do not speak the language, but am a pretty adventurous eater, I relied heavily on the pictures and descriptions to discern what I was getting. The menu was unclear at times. It was not clear which picture matched which description. I ordered a spicy sweet potato noodle soup. What I received looked nothing like the picture. Nowhere did the menu say it was served extremely chilled, nor did the waiter mention it. My husband has eaten far more Korean and really enjoyed his dish. I will be back and will have the Bibimbap next time. Look for an update after that!

Delicious! The meat choices are definitely quality in comparison to some of the other Korean BBQ restaurants in Perth. Very affordable prices, $ 25 per person but not including alcohol prices. We got the 8 flavored pork and the marinated flank, the kimchi pancake. Deliciouuuuuss. One major hangup is definitely the service. The waiter(s) completely neglected to take our order though we had been waiting around for 15 minutes at the very least. We also ordered 3 extra bowls of rice which they forgot to include and bring to us. Fortunately they didn’t bill us for the order. We felt very neglected with the service… might be some teething problems since it is a NEW place. Fingers crossed this is not a permanent issue. We got there at 5:30 pm for dinner so there were no issues with getting a table. Namoo definitely gets busy very quickly however. It’s probably recommended you get in early or call to make a booking. No eftpos facilities at the moment(according to a sign). Make sure you have plenty of cash to indulge in some yummy bbq meat! MMMMmmmmm

Oh so nice! Having only been opened for a couple of weeks, I decided to give it a go and I’m so glad I did. There are a lot of Korean BBQ places in Perth but this is the nicest I’ve been too. First off had the boiled dumplings. These were very nice. Then onto the main. I had the BBQ1 set. The meat(3 of) was delicious. Great quality and flavour. With sides to match including bean shoots and salad I left very full. They also do a pork special that most of the restaurant had, but with only the 2 of us there we decided not to try it.(It was huge — Any takers to join us?) By the time I left, queues were forming. This is always a good sign.
