Wow! what a sad experience my partner and I had at this si called restaurant. Poor service we had a long waite to place our order. I found the prices were over the top forbwhat we ordered. The quanity of our iced coffee was small and not plesent Our wedges were so horrible and we could not eat them. We were offeded yogurt instead of sour cream as they did not have any The price of the of the cans of drink were over the top All in all a beautiful location but i would never visit Sassys again. There are a lot better places to have a drink or eat. Mc Donalds up the road was our final eating as Sassys was a disgrace. I have worked on the hospitality industry for a long time and this venue needs a major rethink

This place is in a great location and for us the staff were quite friendly, the food was ok but far to overpriced for what it is. $ 20 for bacon and eggs is ridiculous, and toast costed over $ 12!!! Also $ 5 for a coffee is crazy, and we just stuck with tea as everyone says the coffee is very bad. If they dropped their prices then they would gain a star.

Wish this app had a 0 star rating, highly disorganised, slow service, and a confusing messy menu… Glad I only ordered a takeaway coffee as I waited 20 minutes for it — so much for breakfast I’ll go to Mcdonalds for lunch instead. Can’t understand how this place gets business possibly for its water views & only one person running all drinks and meals to the entire café… Perhaps my coffee took 20 minutes because the guy making it was taking orders at register as well while kitchen staff hide out the back when orders slowed up get it together or close down

Sassy on the swan is located on Riverside drive with walking distance to the bell tower, cbd and walking routes. The menu is diverse and the food delicious. I ordered an jalapeño Mexican bean omelet with avocado and fried tortillas after a 2 hour walk along the river. The coffee however is terrible.

Sassys… $ 65 inc tip breakfast for two: Gluten free french toast with fruit yoghurt and maple syrup Fried eggs over easy with bacon and sour dough Celery carrot ginger juice x2 Cappuccino Short black I want the tip back. I want the hope back. I want the first coffee of the day spot back. Juice was fresh. French toast was disgusting, the burnt egg was scraped off blah toast. Soggy fruit salad made day before. Eggs were not over easy, tho requested thrice. No that looked like a meal cooked by my nephew who is 5. That’s not an insult to him, because he’s just not allowed to use the hotplates. Cappuccino milk burnt. We’re in Australia not in America. Espresso just so bad. So bad I could cry. No view of the perfect morning outside in the real world. Friendly, but work in a bookshop not a kitchen. Sassys on the water, don’t do it. It looks like a promise, tastes like someone forgot to hire someone to cook…

This cute place looks friendly, easy going, and green. It’s protected from the elements with some additional outdoor seating. The water is cold and it has a convenient location. And friendly staff to boot! Lots of pluses. However, it’s pretty darn pricey. $ 5 for the smallest mug of coffee you’ll ever see. Too milky also; disappointing. We didn’t try the food but the price($ 19 for muesli, wow!) clearly had something to do with that. Now, if there was a view… but alas, there’s(next to) none. Seems pretty harsh to drop 2 stars on a place without even sampling the menu, but I won’t go back. Now, it must be said that it’s actually quite well frequented. However, I bet it’s the excellent location(pulling in walkers, runners, and cyclists) more than anything.

I wish that I had read the reviews on Unilocal before I made the mistake of going here, but no, I saw the cute place by the river, and just had to try… silly me. While the service was quick, the food was average, and soo overpriced. My boyfriend and I both had ‘the big breakfast’, which i ordered purely because it was cheaper than getting eggs, bacon, plus avocado and hashbrown. and an ice coffee each. the total cost? $ 70! for breakfast. I know that Perth is expensive, but this is over the top. Next time I will make sure I consult Unilocal before i get sucked in by the cute place by the river.

Sassy’s used to be a regular favourite of ours for breakfast however in recent years we have been alternating from trying out new places(a part of my «job» as a food blogger!) to returning our current favourite Toast in East Perth. After a long hiatus of more than twelve months we finally decided to return to Sassy’s. It would have been nice to see a new menu or maybe even just some fresh specials but unfortunately the menu hasn’t changed since our visits some years ago. I have posted a full review on my blog Chompchomp from the good to the bad. Head there for the deets.

If you like to pay $ 20 for scrambled eggs and toast then be my guest. I was here for a work breakfast so off course I ordered the $ 20 scrambled egg and it definitely wasn’t worth it– yes it has salmon in it, but once again this is Perth prices gone mad. It is a nice spot to sit down and have a coffee, which doesn’t give you much change from a fiver, but to tell you the truth I would rather just sit of the grass area with a flask of my own coffee for all they charge. I thought the service was pretty miserable too. If you have a fat wallet and money isn’t an issue, I am sure you will enjoy this quaint little café right on the Swan River.
