West Elm and the attached Pottery Barn make you realise that you deserved a better childhood — with a wealthy family who live in the Hamptons. A childhood with natural-fibre woven placemats and special Christmas-tree skirts(yes, it’s a rug specially made to go around your Christmas tree). Why didn’t we have a beach house for our distressed timber outdoor lounge and hanging glass buoys? We didn’t even once own a bar trolley with matching copper drink utensils. This store is funky, decadent and tastefully retro too — with a lot of Americana thrown in for good measure. If this USA import is any indication of homes in the states, then sign me up. Despite the other reviews, I find much of it surprisingly affordable. They also have brilliant sales. I want to live here to get over my deprived childhood.

Popped into this store today — oh my god! Take my money. I am a sucker for homeware stores. This place was amazing. Lots of things for the house — I wanted it all. A bit pricey but that’s expected. I was so worried I would break something in this store as they keep glass bottles on the floor can get a bit squishy in there — well there’s lots of glassware/breakable items around the store. not a place for people to bring in trolleys or prams. Nice store though, will be back to purchase some items for our house :)

West Elm is full of funky homewares. Lots of terrariums of different shapes and sizes, interesting lighting selection and some amazing tableware! There was some amazing gold cutlery, metal straws, gold rimmed plates and more that you will think you now need for your house. This one is not safe for children! Lots of breakable items around. Lovely, friendly staff. Price is high end.
