I have to say that this establishment of fine beverages… Lovingly crafted brews … is one of my favorite Pubs in the inner west. I have been frequenting this venue for many years and have always had a great time here with many awesome moments and great memories. There is very little I can add to my fellow Unilocalers review … it covered all the important details … Let’s tick them off one more time … Staff … heaps friendly and funky and really on the ball … Beer … so many … and all the quality stuff … Support local Brewers !!! … Kick Ass ‘The Batch Brewery’ … food … varied … creative … yummy … I highly recommend this gig … BONUS … there is a pool table !!

The old Newington hotel has had a makeover and name change. I am unashamedly biased about this joint as it is my local. In short the changes are: games room is now adults only.(Tfft) Barrel top tables adorn a pared back interior. Pared back to bare wood and cement. We will never escape the 80s so why try? On the wall in the common room are vinyl covers from the Era. Craft beer is king. The only«domestic» beer is Reschs. Pacific ale. Stone and wood. Willie the boatman on tap. Wine by the carafe in barrels. Pizza. Stone fired pizza in a variety of toppings like«barnyard» smoked ham hock, pineapple and roasted garlic is my fave. Pigfest platter. Not for the faint hearted. Beer garden is bright and breezy and in the smokers section there is now an under cover area in the form of an old shipping container. Staff here are awesome, and super friendly. Couldn’t find a better bunch and really this is what makes us come back at least twice a week. Was a best kept secret but now super popular. If you want a table on Fri nights, book! Ps: front bar is 100% child free zone.* Another reason I dig this place. Happy to have some AO areas back in my life. *haters gonna hate
