Part wine shop, part wine bar — Harry & Frankie celebrates wine

History

Established in 2013.

Named after John’s eldest son, Harry, and Tom’s youngest daughter, Frankie, Harry & Frankie celebrates everything and anything vinous. The 600+ wine listing highlights small family owned producers from Australia’s backyard and around the world. John and Tom have also worked closely with some of this country’s most exciting wineries, including Ruggabellus, Ar Fion, Spinifex and Vinteloper, to blend and bottle a signature range of stunning house wines, working with the mantra that a great glass certainly needn’t cost a fortune.

Harry & Frankie celebrates wine and the great people who grow and make it in an inclusive, unpretentious way. You can wander in and get up close and personal with the bottles and choose your own wine adventure, either drinking in or taking away. Harry & Frankie firmly believes wine’s first job is to be delicious. Its second is to be both the cause and accompaniment to celebration. The third, and equally important, role it plays is to help you delve into the great

Tom H.

Business Owner

Developing a passion for wine in his early 20’s, Tom worked at Langton’s Restaurant & Bar and several other high profile Victorian based establishments before taking the position Head Sommelier at the multi award winning Lake House Daylesford. During his time at Lake House, the establishment received numerous accolades from The Good Food Guide, Gourmet Traveller & Wine Spectator.

Tom holds the Diploma from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust and is an Advanced Sommelier in the Court of Master Sommeliers. In 2012 he was accepted into the exclusive Len Evans Tutorial where he was awarded Runner-Up to Dux. Tom’s also a regular judge on the Australian wine show circuit.

Whilst Riesling is his first love, you’re just as likely to find Tom cradling a glass of Pinot Noir or Nebbiolo (or at the cricket).
