Last year I celebrated my birthday at Third Wave Café with my friends and earlier this year I have been lucky enough to be invited to my very first zomato meet up. If you are interested in Third Wave Café origin check out my last review. I’m so excited to meet other bloggers such as Jenny from Confession of a Little Piggy, Daisy from Escort and Thief and many more, there are also several zomato personnel. I finally met Greg, the owner of Third Wave Café. We started with The Hit man or Woman — kahlua, baileys with a whack of espresso milkshakes($ 16) and Better Sneakers Bar — caramel ice cream, peanut butter, caramel, cocoa milkshakes. Both of them are super delicious and creamy, better than any other freak shakes I have tasted. Love their ribs especially their beef briskets. We stayed for hours at Third Wave Café because we had so much fun and Greg has been a great host with generous food. Third Wave Café certainly have one of the best ribs in Melbourne and this won’t be my last time visiting them.

Excellent. The coffee here is consistently one of the best in this area. The food is well priced and although I haven’t eaten that much, it’s always been sensational. The smoked BBQ chicken was absolutely fantastic, and I recently had one of their muffins which was orange, coconut, raspberry(and some type of nut), it was delicious! The salmon is divine and so fresh. As is the russian cucumber salad. The sauce they use on it is outstanding. Service is always great as well. Keep it up!

I was about to head to your restaurant and checked the menu. NOVEGETARIAN so I can’t feed my date. Lost the business guys. Suggest you add a section to your menu. Everyone has at least a few vegetarian and special dietary options these days. Big omission you need to fix ASAP. Disappointed.

Impressed with the service, food was brilliant. Selections for every dietary requirement and bloody tasty! Surprisingly the letdown was the toilets! They were revoltingly dirty! Putting it down to the holidays and the cleaner being on annual leave?! Will be back for the food! Divine!

As always, I have a soft spot for American Restaurants– could this make me bias for, or does it make me more critical??? Guess the end result, is in the stomach of the beholder. Here for lunch with the other half for a Saturday day lunch. Quaint but hip little place just off Chapel Street. All wait staff were extremely helpful & friendly. I had the Reuben Sandwich & the Candy Bacon — not sure what the hell the other half had, as I was too busy enjoying my food!!! What can one say. Taste was perfect, texture was perfect, quantity was, well you know, perfect. Would highly recommend. I’m trying to work out when to come back to try the American BBQ Feast!!!

Went here for dinner. Great service, delicious slow cooked marinated meats. Generous serves. And a beer list I wanted to devour. We’ll be back.

My first time at Third Wave cemented it as somewhere that i want to go again. I love BBQ meats and American BBQ style ribs are amazing. Third Wave does meat really well. As a group outing the restaurant offered us a set menu to easily give all 20 people a taste of the meat selection and this was surely the best option. We got to taste all the meats, Maple salmon, BBQ pork and beef ribs, tender falling apart beef brisket. There was some lam shoulder served as well which although I cannot eat it I was told was also very tasty. There was a full complement of sides, peas with bacon, sautéed mushrooms in some of the best sauce I’ve had(the husband even ate them and had seconds and he doesn’t like mushrooms), chips cooked in duck fat to round off the sides. Our set menu also included a glass of beer or wine and dessert with a coffee. Dessert was the second best bit, Key lime Pie and pecan pie, so tasty and well made. The price was very reasonable and the serves were generous. The staff friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is quite small, it functions as a café during the day and turns into a meat lovers heaven at night. There is also a monthly rib eating contest there for which the winner gets $ 1000, we saw the tail end of it and it looked very yummy although I think I was happy with my serve.
