This is my go-to for my morning brew when I’m WFH… due to proximity and cost. Baristas are friendly, the courtyand is great to relax in, and you can’t beat $ 2.80 for a regular coffee, $ 3.20 for a large… especially when it’s a decent brew for the most part. The only other place in Pyrmont that I’ve found similar prices for non-convenience store coffee is Café XXII. I haven’t tried the food yet, but I hear it’s hit or miss… will need to try it sometime.

Went studio 4 café yesterday for lunch. I had the best steak and mash, it was amazing as the pepper sauce really topped it off. The staff was really friendly and the coffee was fab. Overall this place is great for coffee or lunch and best of all it’s value for money. I will definitely be going back

This place USED to be great. Then it changed hands. The staff obviously don’t want to be there. The service is slow, snide and depressing. The coffee is not bad as is the food — IF they get your order right. What used to a hub for media personalities and locals is empty and uncomfortable. Yuck!

Studio 4 Café is one of my favourite café’s in Pyrmont. I drink the best coffee there every morning! As you will note from my reviews, I am a loyal patron at many places and I like going to places where I feel at home and relaxed. I feel at home at Studio 4 Café. The staff are all really friendly and the waitresses are very sexy, most of South American descent, I’m sure the Greek owners have a thing for them! Speaking of owners, Pete and Dimitri are always at the counter, waiting to take your order. The place pretty much runs like clockwork, although, they are sometimes a little slow on the table service, I think this is because the guys don’t want to upset their waitresses and they are scared to boss them around! LOL! I completely understand because why would you want to upset such beautiful woman. The coffee man Hans is so good at it! He makes really good coffee but with such ease. I struggle if I miss out on one of his coffees in the morning. Studio 4 is also a great place to people watch; it is constantly filled with eclectic people. Because of its locality(between Nova & Network 10) you will spot famous faces on a regular basis. The décor is modern and comfortable and there is a great outdoor area, where I often sit when the sun is out. The food is good for a snack, breakfast or lunch. It tastes home cooked. If you like good coffee it’s definitely a place to frequent. I love Studio 4 and I know you will too!

Studio 4 Café is host to many a celeb and advertising guru that graces the surrounding Channel 10 and Nova studios. So if people spotting is what you after then, by all means, sit in the courtyard and enjoy. The food, however, leaves a lot to be desired. I’m not sure they really care about their menu as much as café’s without the guaranteed traffic of adjoining businesses. The coffee’s alright, it’s just not great. Which is what I want. I want spectacular coffee. Here is not the place to get that. The atmos is fab though. Always busy and energised. That is helped along by MTV playing constantly on a big TV. Perhaps this is to satisfy all the muso’s that may be in the house? If this is not your cup of tea, sit out in the courtyard which is actually a relaxing and leafy place to while away an hour or so.

I had an audition in the channel ten building. I was up for a role as a laughing person. This was it, finally a chance to shine, a chance to play the role I was born to play, Laughing Guy Number Two! I rode my bike over the Anzac Bridge and locked it up against a street sign. As I was early and little bit sticky,(not from the ride, I bathed in honey earlier)(Editors Note: It was from the ride, that honey comment was a lie. Strike one Seaton.) As I was early I stopped into Studio 4 Café, a medium sized café just up the road from the Channel 10 building and had a coffee while I made some notes for my audition. I ordered my Soy Cap and took a seat. «Oh no!» I proclaimed, «I don’t have a pen!» I approached the counter and pleaded with them to lend me a pen, and lend a pen they did! Which was great, because now I had a pen. I sat down and drank my coffee in the courtyard. It is a peaceful courtyard, and from the clientele now seated in it with me, it attracts employees from the local businesses. I sit under the umbrella and mentally prepare. I return the pen and get the keys to the bathroom. Unfortunately this means walking down to the corner of Saunders Street and into the Channel Ten building parking garage to use the bathroom they share. It’s a good hundred metres, but I need to look fresh for my laughing debut. I give them back the key, thank them for a relaxed and calm environment and head into the studios. Up the stairs I go, destiny awaits, Laughing Guy Number Two. I laugh, sometimes without noise, sometimes a snort, a chortle, a chuckle here or there. I get a call back a week later and again sit in Studio 4 Café, but this is the last I hear from them and someone else gets that 8 seconds of glory, I so rightly deserved.
