Business Owner

Ian Edwards has received commendations for his professionalism, inter-​agency teamwork and policing excellence.

From 2004 to 2006 he provided training to Detective Officers in disciplines including the

Initial Management of Serious Crime, Enhanced Cognitive Interviewing, Advanced

Interviewing, Investigation of Child Sex Offences, Sexual Offence Investigation and Family

Liaison Officer Training.

In 2006 he began the leadership of one of the UK’s only paedophile online investigation teams. He was the Senior Investigating Officer for what was described as the ‘UK’s worst case of internet grooming’ and led joint investigations with a national newspaper, exposing and prosecuting child sex offenders. Ian left this team having secured a criminal conviction against every single person subject of an investigation.

Since arriving in Western Australia in 2008 he has served with WAPOL as a Senior Constable, undertaken the role of Senior Investigator at the Department of Education and as Director
