History

Established in 2013.

We launched Orbit Accounting and Tax with two simple ideas — that small businesses want more from their accountants than just a tax return, and their interactions with their finances should be as simple as possible.

So we ditched the stuffy suits, stopped speaking in financial terms, and took accountancy back for the everyday person.

You see, we were so fed up with seeing time strapped small business owners struggling year after year with the enormity of BAS, PAYG, GST, CGT and a bunch of taxing acronyms, that we decided to take the misery out of having the books in order.

And, instead of seeing small business owners come through our doors chewing on their fingernails at tax time, we decided to make accounting and business advice easy to obtain and to digest.

We also wanted to stem the tide of shoe-​boxes being collected in the office — yours and ours — so that we could all get back to focussing on our individual business strengths.

Business Owner

Orbit Accounting and Tax’s Director and Founder, Greg Dennis started his accounting journey with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting before qualifying as a CPA. He’s spent 15 years working within small and large accounting firms as well as large and small businesses as an accountant, business advisor and all round ally when it comes to the accounts side of the business train.

Today, Greg’s role is more than just a typical accountant. He uses his experience as a small business operator, together with his 15 years as an accountant to help small businesses not only meet their tax obligations, but to create strategies that promote business growth and profitability.
