Disappointing in general. Everything is superbly and unashamedly overpriced. $ 7.90 for cheese croissant? $ 4.50 for a small coconut water? I honestly thought they were joking when they gave me the change. Just go anywhere else in Redfern for the same or better food at a much more realistic price. Bleh!

This cosy deli-café brings us some excellent dine-in café food and tenderly brewed coffee. The menu is diverse and well put together– vegetarian and meat lasagne, quiches, gourmet focaccias and pies, fresh-cut sandwiches, soup and frittatas, and savoury and fruit salads. Pop in on the weekend for a full cooked breakfast of free range organic eggs, poached, scrambled or fried, and paired with crispy bacon, grilled mushrooms, delicious Virginian ham and oven-roasted tomato. Their bread selection is impressive: white, wholemeal, mixed seed, fruit, walnut, Turkish, sourdough baguettes and Danish pastries. For the more sweet-toothed inclined, there’s rocky road, fruit cake, and numerous slices, cookies and muffins. There are also many scrumptious goodies to collect for home consumption such as quality cheeses and meats, jams, marmalade, chutneys, terrine, antipasto ingredients and olives, dips and pates, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, specialty confectionery, and unique seasonal items. Gluten-free menu options are available(applies to desserts too!) and there’s ample seating inside. The staff are always friendly –one of the ladies working here reminds me of my grandmother.
