So I have been living in Melbourne again for 6 weeks and have been on the search for the best Phở in town. What is important are all the elements of a great Phở. Beef stock. And the all important taste of anaseed and good quality rare beef. Today after searching every few days for the best Phở I have finally found it at Phở Minh Nghi on Victoria street. A great new establishment, very modern and attentive friendly staff. I am most impressed. This Phở hits all the marks and can now say I have found my home away from home when I require my Phở tonic. This place does one of the best Viet soups on Vic St, and that is a high bar.
The spicy beef soup, phở and duck soup are all great — to be honest, I have never been beyond the soup menu.
This place is truly a hidden gem. We live on Vic St and have done for years, including a brief stint above a Phở restaurant no less, and this place is right up there! The guys there are always so courteous and nice too, which is a great bonus.
