Looking at the galleries on Albert St. in Richmond I always stop to look in the Anita Traverso Gallery. This commercial gallery represents emerging and mid-​career contemporary artists from Australian and other countries.
It often has exhibitions of sculptures or artists working with unusual materials — it definitely worth a visit to see the art on exhibition in its monthly exhibitions. It does exhibit traditional media, like etchings, paintings and photography but it is their exhibitions of mixed media art that sets this gallery apart.
The gallery is a renovated factory space with a concrete floor and two separate exhibition spaces divided by office space.
