Lumberjack is the place to go if you want honest food in a funky environment looked over by attentive staff. Great breakfasts. Try the hot cakes. Say hello to Irene.

Honest food made with care by a thoughtful staff. This place makes you feel like a local whether you walked here or drove here, our favorite brekky and lunch spot on bridge rd, skip the queues down the road and give this one a whirl, it never disappoints.

I like this place! It was close to my hotel on Bridge road so I went over for a quick brekky after refusing to walk further under threat of impending rain and a tornado. The staff were friendly and seem to have a solid client base as I noticed a lot of people coming in to order«the usual.» It always makes me happy to see a small business that has a good relationship with its regulars. The coffee was made well and the interior was pretty cool. There is an outdoor seating area around the back and the ‘dunny’ is also outdoors. The breakfast we ordered was great, super filling! I love the way their toast is slathered with melted butter, its delicious. One less star because I was surprised at how long the food took to come out given there were four peoplw in total that were seated. I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu as I was quite impressed overall.

WASTEOFTIMEANDAPATITE! Ordered as we arrived, didn’t receive our meals for another 55 minutes which arrived over cooked and dry. Staff had a unnecessarily rude attitude when I asked when the food might make its debut to the table. Give it a miss if you are short on time!

The day job is near here, and occasionally I will meet peeps for breakfast. They do a decent soy chai latte and range of breakfast, lunch and cake options. For breakfast I can’t go past the porridge(served with poached pear and toasted macadamias) and when I have come here for lunch have had the chicken burger and felafel salad. Both good. The cakes here are awesome. Highly recommend the hummingbird cake(so fruity! so delicious!) and also the caramel slice. It made to tear up with the deliciousness. The dud who works here has dreadlocks and long Ned Kelly beard. Cool combo. Respect.

A much better and more relaxed option to its supposed super cool neighbour. Fantastic home made food really is home cooking at its best with coffee exactly as we wanted. Hot and fast. Great place to talk with super cool staff that keep you well looked after. This is my new spot!

Cosy little café along the Bridge Road strip, with tables squeezed into every nook. If you feel like you need a bit of extra breathing space, follow the outdoor corridor to a backyard courtyard. Nothing outlandish on the menu worth singing about, but plenty of great breakfast and lunch options on the menu to cover all tastes. I had the falafel salad from the specials board and it was decent. The coffee on offer is Atomica dark roast. Not really my thing, so I opted for a fresh squeezed OJ. Service was friendly, the sweets cabinet was as tempting as other reviews suggest. All in all just a good solid option if you’re in the neighbourhood.

What an awesome little café. It really does fit it’s name. There’s wood everywhere in this place. I’m surprised they didn’t make the coffee machine out of wood. They’ve got a great menu of delicious food. If you want something delicious and sweet then grab one of their raspberry and white chocolate muffins. Ehrmahgerd, nom nom. I’m craving one so hard right now. I can’t even. Annoying teenage girl slang mode go. zomg. I apologise for that. In all seriousness, this café is fantastic, they serve decent coffee, the sort that gives you the exact kick you needed to get through the day. It’s nothing special but it does the job. The staff who make it are really friendly. You leave the place wanting to walk back in and stay a little longer. Lumberjack is just waiting for you.

Irene, Andre and the team have been taking great care of us at Lumberjack(formerly Flaunt) for over two years. If you want warm service, great coffee without pretension, excellent food and no ridiculous queues then you must visit. The avocado smash is perfection, and I love their poached eggs with all the sides. As for the famous OMFG slice, well Irene is cooking me a whole tray of them to take to my family Christmas. Straight to the top of the will for me!

Lumberjack is our regular coffee & breakfast haunt! Formerly known as Flaunt Café, it’s a great little find down the quieter end of Bridge Road in Richmond. Whilst I don’t drink coffee, my husband is quite particular & really enjoys their brews. They also make reasonably priced freshly squeezed juices, smoothies & milkshakes. And their hot chocolate served«camping style» is not only cute for the novelty factor but is delicious too. I’ve sampled a lot of the menu, but my breakfast favourites are the porridge served with stewed berries & toasted seeds and the Grecian scrambled eggs with feta, sundried tomatoes & spinach! The falafel salad is also a great lunch option. Their baked goods are all made inhouse and are the best going around — famous muffins(huge), OMFG slice(Anzac with choc ganache) and choc chip peanut butter cookies are favourites. Highly recommend you check it out for a tasty & consistent experience(without the queue a mile long). Just don’t ask for a Chai — they don’t do Chai! :-)

Lumberjack is one of my favourite cafes for breakfast, brunch and lunch. The owner and staff are great, friendly and serving tasty and interesting food with a fresh and seasonal menu. Milk is sourced locally which I love and food is made on site. Lumberjack is dog friendly which is a nice treat for those of us with four legged brunch companions. The coffee is the best I’ve had in Richmond, and remains consistent all year round. It gets pretty busy on the weekend but there is usually room in the back garden or inside to sneak in for a bite off the seasonal and changing menu.
