Good? Yes. Cheap? Yes. Fast? Yes. Super Bowl hits the mark with the three essentials when in search of the perfect comfort food in a casual yet efficient setting. You will be seated quickly, given hot tea and a menu, which is also on the wall. Generally I go straight for the Phở but this time I went with their specialty, Bun bo Hue. It was my first time having this delicious alternative to Phở. The soup base is lemongrass and chilli. There is no shortage of either in the broth, along with heaps of spices, veggies, noodles and your choice of meat. Their menu has many varieties and combinations to suit. I was impressed with the flavourful broth which was spicy and fulfilling. I could have sat all night slurping it down had I not somewhere to be. Noodles differ from the traditional Phở as they are rounded, so it can make for a tricky situation if you are trying to eat subtly. I nearly forgot another perk, the portions! There are 4 — YES4 — sizes to choose from with prices that will sit easy on your wallet. I went with the medium size for $ 11 and could not finish it all. Their version of a medium would be another place’s large. Props if you can finish a Super Bowl size. Insane. Morale of the story is that I will eat here again, as I may have found a new alternative for Phở. The end.

Love me a classic aromatic-piping-hot-bowl of chicken phở especially when it’s full of meaty chicken breast pieces. I’m picky when it comes to chicken phở as its all about the crystal clear broth & the chicken pieces & this place ticks & ticks. Love that you can get in the perfect small size all the way through to the challenger size for you crazy foodies who want to take on eating as a challenge. The broken rice with grilled pork chop(com tam), is pretty classic here too & goes down a treat for those in hunger mode or need something filling for a hangover cure Vietnamese style. My current go to for chicken phở cravings in Melbourne… So far. One star taken off as the service for a dedicated phở place which prides itself on phở is a little slow & when asking for extras or tailored desires it doesn’t feel like they’re happy to go the extra mile, but hey the phở’ good so happy to turn a blind eye.

I’m vietnamese so going to eat phở is my specialty. My friends and i came here so one of our guy mates can try the superbowl phở. It’s one gigantic bowl which is like 5 regular bowls. It’s insane that alot of people can finish it. I’ve tried the phở(beef broth noodles) and bunbohue(chilli beef noodles) here. I don’t find anything special about the the flavours. There’s no real kick. Nuce and cheap if you’re on a budget though. Staff that don’t really speak english but are still very helpful.

my superbowl wasn’t all that super… it had extras that I didn’t order… a toothpick!!! only discovered it as i got a chopstick full of noodles in my mouth n got stabbed in the gum! yep! it hurt. i complained to the waiter. He apologised n said it was their bad. Which was fine. Apology accepted. BUT what pissed me off was the owner came out. Looked at me then told the waiter to collect all the toothpicks from the tables!!! WTF! The CBs! It was the biggest insult! BECAREFULWHAT U ORDER! I did try them again, but found the broth to be lacking in the strong beef stock flavour,

My favorite phở place on Victoria st. I quite like their spicy noodle soup. Great value for the money. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is often crowded and you may have to wait 5 min for a table. But it gives me confidence that the restaurant is delicious. I think the Phở is quite tasty here. I worry a bit when the Phở at I Heart Phở comes out lightning quick. The speed is fine at Super Bowl, and makes me think they put a tad more effort into making it. You can also mix meats if you want — I like the combination but I’ve been able to pick 3 meats in the past and mix it in my phở. We like the rice paper rolls here, but the spring rolls are a bit strange. It’s unclear what the filling is, but I find it kind of bland and homogenous. Overall I prefer SuperBowl to I Heart Phở just next door. It’s less crowded, and more enjoyable to eat in. The noodles are on par and the broth is always piping hot and delicious. Also I think they take EFTPOS which is lovely.

This place is clean and for $ 10 you get a hearty bowl! If you super keen try the Super Bowl for twice the price. The ambience and service is great as well. But hey when the food is good — who cares about the walls or who you are with– just live me alone with my Bowl!

Super cheap &, friendly phở shop. Brisket & Flank noodle phở was rich, chunky & huge(even the small!). Chicken noodle phở exhibited cleaner flavours from a clearer broth. Both exceptionally good! After a successful second visit — this one us about to become a regular…

This place is clean and quiet. The owner took our order and confirmed via numbers on the menu to avoid confusion and mistakes. They use an electronic paperless system which is very green. The rice paper rolls were extremely fresh and the ingredients were great. The pork and prawns were soft and delicious. The satay sauce that it came with was also tasty. The Phở broth was very clean but watch out for the chilli oil. It is extremely potent here. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Giving the phở a 7.5 out of 10. Pretty good. Our waiter was awesome however. Very warm and welcoming. Bottom line: not quite the best phở on Victoria street, but certainly not the worst either.

A great Vietnamese phở restaurant on Victoria street, the Vietnamese food mecca of Melbourne, This is a modern, casual phở eatery with big open windows to the street. They also have Bun Bo Hue, a spicy phở soup, which is my favorite type of Vietnamese phở. You can order you phở in small, medium, large and super large bowls. I’d swear you get over a liter of soup in a large. The Bun Bo Hue comes with a green salad that you are meant to add to the soup. The broth is very good but not as rich as some of phở places I have tried in America that have pig-blood cubes and Ox pizzle in the broth. The portions at Super Bowl Melbourne are huge. I also love the cold phở bowls with delicious grilled pork, vegetables, burnt shallots, peanuts, and fish sauce. The broken rice dish is very good. Broken rice grains, with fish sauce, soup, pork chop, egg, this tasty Asian polenta like cake, and interesting noodle like thing. Their spring rolls and fresh rolls are also very good.

Freshly Wrapped Rice Paper Cold Rolls; yeap, easily up there amongst the best, crushed peanuts, peanut sauce and the work. Large Fresh Rice Noodles with Sliced Beef & Tripes; light, tasty(after a bit more of the fish sauce), missing salt, MSG? Soup not hot enough, missing fresh cut chillies and lemons, love the cracked peppers mill, NOT enough beef slices … 3 Colours Drink; not too sweet, good, needs adjustment on the drop jellies Great reconstituted stone top, timber chair, room a bit tight. Full of youthfulness, High Tech ordering system and please make sure you don’t loose that old charm«taste» & «quality» … we all come for that.

Loved the phở, got the large size and it was huge. The super bowl size is literally as big as a sink. The beef slices were pink and melty soup was true, did not contain a lot of msg, rice paper was filled with juicy prawns. Service was abrupt but there’s much to be said for efficiency. Very enjoyable meal.

Yum — we happened upon this place tonight as we got a park out the front, so glad we did. The portions were huge, the soup was fresh and clean and the herbs plentiful. I had the Phở Ga with Crispy Fried Chicken(Large $ 11) and he had the Bun Bo Hue(Large $ 10). We couldn’t believe the size of the bowls, there is no over-claim in the name of this Phở & Bun Bo Hue joint. Looking around as we waited for the food to arrive we saw a couple sharing a Super Bowl… I cannot imagine someone eating that by themselves — it is ridiculously large! The young guy who served us was super friendly and really welcoming and the place is nice and clean. We will certainly be going back. Yay for Super Bowl’s arrival on Victoria Street.
