I love everything about Piccolo’s — great coffee(even the decaf) and there’s always something interesting on the menu. I’m a sucker for their broadbean crush with avocado and the poached eggs are always cooked just right. Def the stand out in Rozelle

The perfect place to rest after strolling in the market. We shared the sweet riccota — absolutely beautiful! Lovely berry jam, banana, maple syrup, candied walnut on sourdough. Simple but amazing!

Great breakfast place in Rozelle — staff are awesome, food is great and the outdoor area is lovely and cosy for a relaxed brekky in the sun — don’t forget the coffee — these guys know what they’re doing!

Great café in Rozelle, just a hop from the market entrance. Menu range is quite extensive for a café and offers lots of options — we had varying hunger levels and were both able to find something to suit. Menu style is modern hipster — kale and quinoa creeping in to many items — and the friendly(and bountiful — there were so many of them!) staff match. Coffee is obviously the big selling point — my mate was up-sold to some exotic concoction, blending beans from three of four different countries, and I have to say wank-factor aside it was pretty damn tasty, and quite reasonably priced considering the five-minute spiel used to sell it had me scared he was going to be paying big bucks. Perfect to refresh and replenish after a successful market bargain hunt!

Definitely the pick of the coffee shops at Rozelle — great for weekend(or weekday) breakfast. Unassuming, great coffee and lovely staff — what more could you want?

Just great. Friendly, coffee is as good as it gets, food is delicious. And not too expensive — $ 40 for two breakfasts and two coffees. Try the breakfast bruschetta or, more something more substantial, the bakes eggs. SO good.

A great café society chill out spot. Always the destination of choice to catch up over a casual coffee(or chai tea) with a close friend. Weekends, naturally busy. When you’re not sitting right near the counter, you’re home and hosed here. Order a chai tea, and you’ll receive a black vintage like tea pot with an abundance of tea to sip away with spicy ahoy. Enjoy a few cups. Otherwise their coffee is just supreme. The sugar can go to Charlie’s chocolate factory instead… or gets transferred to their amazing mocha scrolls. The icing is sweet as. Even their cookies and cream one is making me salivate like Pavlov’s dogs. Not quite 5-stars based on my recent experience(noisy) — yet if I could give Piccolo an extra half a star, I most certainly would. Also like the big breakfast. Hands down one of the best brunch and/or coffee hot spots in Rozelle.

This review would be 4.5 if it could … The stars are all in the coffee. If you’re in the area and looking for your coffee hit — look no more! At this café, I only drink piccolo’s! They are delicious. They do have the single origin now that was missing when James came, but like he said, I had the house blend and it was fantastic! Super smooth and easy to drink. I have also had the single origin blend which has a bit more punch but perhaps I am a simple girl, I just love the house blend. The food is passable but nothing standout-ish. They used to have incredible toast but in the last few months they changed supplier and the current bread isn’t as WOW as the previous. The service is friendly and a few little reno’s and fresh coat of paint has made the little Rozelle local scrub up very well. There is ample seating(a big outdoor courtyard at the back) so lots of space to choose from to find the perfect seat & enjoy your cup of gold.

Had a great feeling walking into this café right normal the start. It was inviting warm and friendly. Apparently now under new management, while I can’t comment on what they were like before, currently they certainly emanate the right feel for a cozy café. Due to the lack of single origin coffee(which apparently they are in the process of rectifying) I started off with a mac to cover any harshness that might hide away in the house blend… but there were none. Nothing harsh at all. It was mellow, warm, slightly fruity. and really quite enjoyable. To test the theory further I the grabbed an espresso and… it was also warm, mellow and a little fruity with a very clean finish. As house blends go it was one of the cleanest I’ve had in ages. So with a great atmosphere, great coffee, and a conveniently placed free public parking lot on the street behind them, this is an easy recommendation. It will be interesting to see how they expand the range of available coffees(as I can already see they offer cold drip). N.B. There is #powerwhoring available at the table next to the coffee machine There is no public WiFi available There is courtyard seating in the back. (Review via )
