Quick brekky here while the fam is at Monkey Mania. The staff were friendly and chatty. The Soy mocha wasn’t bad. Needed to be sweetend up but the coffee seemed okay. For the meal, I ordered the Huevos Benedictos. This is basically poached eggs served over plantains. Instead of the regular ham or bacon, they use slow cooked pork. Hollandaise seemed quite interesting. Freshly made but spiced up with a few extra ingredients. And remember… it is spicy. So if you’re not feeling spice for brekky, skip it. All in all… I’d say the whole thing was fairly middle of the road.

It seems like poor service is encouraged within this organisation. I contacted their head office about a month ago with a complaint about the awful service of the Top Ryde location and still have not received any response. I am very disappointed with this whole experience. I can only hope that mine was a one off and other diners have better luck(though based off the reviews here and on other sites there seems to be a negative trend). I certainly won’t be returning.

Grilled prawns = 6 small chewy rubber baby prawns &1 piece of bread for the non-existent sauce(approx $ 14 of my money). The kids fared no better with their $ 10 popcorn chicken & chips — tiny rubber balls of chicken & fries were taken from a plastic bag & fried. Service friendly but sub-standard — on a quiet weekday evening just before 5pm, it took far too long to bring the prawns, then we had a gap of 20min to get the kids’ meals. Sadly I’m not inspired to return.

Great setup, love the décor/atmosphere/music — just right. Food was really good(we had tapas), fast friendly service, we will come again…

the Cuban influence is more in the décor than the limited menu. servings are small, especially for the prices. careful with the chicken bites, weren’t cooked through, edible but pregnant women beware. The service was very good though, the staff were run off their feet but friendly and accommodating. Pity the food didn’t match

The latest restaurant alongside Top Ryde Shopping Centre. It is very busy and I love the cocktail feel and the chatter of excited Friday nighters. The décor of the restaurant is quite rustic and the music is pumping along. If I wasn’t a lone diner tonight I might swivel those hips and get up and dance. I worry when you order and pay before receiving the food. There is no where to go if you are not terribly satisfied. The waitress was very helpful when she asked about the meal I just ate. Now to be truthful… going to a new place I will try something that I am familiar with to compare. The bean nachos were very spicy. I think I have Botox lips now! Well they might enhance my look as a lover! Watch out Sydneysiders! Ha I would come here again. There is a good range of food and drinks and the bar is open to visit before going to the movies.
