Well I read the reviews and think that can’t be possible! My experience has been extremely positive. The staff were amazing and so friendly… we could have had the waitress having a drink at our table if the Boss wasn’t looking. The food was exceptional. I am hopeless at cooking steak and when I go to a steak restaurant I want my dinner just right… guess what, they lived up to my expectations. The stark was perfect, medium rare and with a pepper sauce on the side. The chips just crispy and the salad very fresh. The reason we came here tonight was the 25% discount after attending a movie. Would you believe all the other restaurants were closed and this one was open and very welcoming. The wine flowed and the music was upbeat. I will come here again and bring some friends especially during the week. Well done Outback Jacks, Top Ryde City!

Dined here for the first time a few weeks ago on a Scoopon — pay $ 50 receive $ 100 worth of food. I went along with my partner and between us we spent $ 107 so got our moneys worth! We ordered Jacks Cheese n Chips(Cheese & Bacon Fries, Slow Cooked Jack Daniels Pork Ribs, Wagyu Burger, Sticky Date Pudding & Choc Brownie Desert along with 2 Cokes. Cheese Chips — Yum Yum Yum this is one of the main reasons why I wanted to dine here I love these! Jack Daniels Slow Cooked Ribs — Delicious cant fault them only disappointment was that I couldn’t swap the fries for anything else as I didnt really want them after ordering Cheese Fries for an appetiser. Wagyu Burger — Average burger, wish we had just tried the Bush Burger which was cheaper. Again the same problem with the fries we couldn’t substitute them for anything else. Sticky Date Pudding & Brownie were both great. Overall the service was average, our meals took a while to come out and our table wasnt cleared very promptly. We felt we had fantastic value for $ 50 Scoopon however it definetely would not have been worth the money if we were paying full price. I would most likely only return if there was some sort of special offer or scoopon at full price its a bit much!

I’ve eaten here a number of times out of convenience because I live at the apartments above the shopping centre. We go here as a very very very last resort, when we can’t be bothered to think of where to go and don’t want to walk or drive anywhere too far. The food is average at best and quite expensive for what you get. The steak is neither juicy nor tasty. We can cook better steak at home on our barbecue. The chips are bland. No amount of salt could make them taste better. The burger tastes like a haphazard burger from an average local café. You’ll get better value at Hungry Jacks because their burgers are tastier and cheaper. The pastas are terrible, but then again, I guess it was my mistake to eat pasta at a steak/ribs restaurant. The chicken wings taste like wings you get from the frozen section at the supermarket. I had the medium option for spiciness, and all it was was chicken wings covered in sweet chili sauce. I did enjoy the ribs though, they had a lot of sauce which I like, but I still prefer Hurricanes at the other end of the shopping centre. The service is terrible. The waiters/waitresses interrupt you in the middle of your conversations when you don’t need them, and are nowhere to be found or difficult to get their attention when you do need them. The other night, we had to wait 15 – 20 minutes to get our dessert order of a slice of chocolate mud cake with cream and vanilla ice cream. I was left wondering whether they still had to bake the cake or freeze the ice cream after I placed my order. When it finally arrived, the girl gave us only one set of cutlery, when it was obvious that we were meant to share the dessert. It took another minute before she came back with an extra spoon. They have a 30 minute 1kg steak challenge. You get a 500g rump steak, thick cut wedges and veg which you had to finish in 30 minutes, otherwise you pay the $ 50 price for the meal. My husband and a friend tried it and it was fun watching them fail. That was the only time I enjoyed myself in this restaurant, and it wasn’t because of the food.

I believe this place has been open for over a month. It is one of those novelty restaurants and we wanted to try the food ourselves. We arrived about 6pm so not many people seated yet. Staff are friendly and attentive. So far so good! Lighting is pretty bright here but then again it was a very gloomy day out. I ordered the banana milkshake and the Jack Daniel ribs. Milkshake was sweet and tasty reminded me of when I was a kid at restaurants. Ribs were a big serving with chips and salad and very saucy just how I like it! And I don’t eat a lot of ribs so that’s saying something. My sister enjoyed her meal too which was the Jackies Eye fillet I think with mash and veggies. It’s my first visit and the place is still new so we shall see how far it goes! I gave it 2 ½ to 3 stars because I did enjoy my ribs but for 2 meals and a kids meal came to $ 93! Pretty exy I think!

Bad service, even worse food. Waitress didn’t even bother to wait for me to finish my order before moving on… and the place was empty. When the food came, they forgot two of the sides and the sauce. Reminded them twice, still didn’t come by the end of the meal. The angus porterhouse was average, bland and was definitely overpriced. Got severe food poisoning the next day from the steak. Definitely the worst place.
