Cool place for a coffee and cake. They’ve also got a few things which are a little more substantial(baguettes etc.). The coffee I’ve had here has been great, would recommend it for the area.

Great little place for your morning coffee on the run. Also have some yummy salads and lunch options in a cabinet to eat in or take away. Great for a casual catch up with family or friends and super kid friendly.

Solid evidence supporting the hypothesis: Synesso machine + 5 Senses Crompton Road blend + moustached barista = coffee win Damn the coffee I had this morning at Excelsior was delicious! Smooth and creamy with a hazelnutty taste. Perfect with soy milk. The best i’ve had in months! It reminded me a lot of the stuff at Daily Espresso in Swanbourne, — who guess what? — use the Synesso/buttery 5 senses/hipster barista formula, too. The nifty space has seating to convenience a variety of visitors: 4 seaters, alfresco seekers, newspaper readers and a big table up the back with a bit more privacy that would work nicely for client meetings. There are some tidy looking sweets and savoury cabinet foods too. And gelato(that almost warrants a star alone)! Food and drink is not cheap but oh, that coffee was gewwwd!

This quaint little café in Shenton Park opened in May 2012. It serves sandwiches, coffee cupcakes, and gelato galore! You can also get breakfast sandwiches in the morning. The red velvet cupcake is quite a treat, so much so that I almost wish I hadn’t tried it because it’s too tempting to eat on a regular basis :)
