It’s simple; bring your own favourite bottle (or two!) of wine, and we’ll provide everything else you need for a creative night out.

In a relaxed, social setting at our studio in the heart of Brisbane, you’ll take on the basic techniques of painting with acrylics on canvas. By the end of the night, even the self proclaimed «talentless» will have created a 40×50cm masterpiece to take home.

History

Established in 2013.

Behind the business is Hillary Wall, originally from Chicago. While at University in 2004, Hillary found herself at the university art supply store purchasing canvases, acrylic paints and an easel. She started painting for fun and a new hobby was born!

«My friends would come to my university apartment and have our own little ‘paint and sip’ gatherings. They were always such fun nights and it was a different way for us to relax and enjoy each other’s company», she says.

These are the nights that Hillary wants to recreate – Cork & Chroma is about making art accessible, social and fun.

«It’s a way to connect with your creative side; something that many of us can lose touch with as adults», says Wall, «You unlock your creativity in an approachable atmosphere.»

Wall and her husband settled in Brisbane in 2012, and she fell in love with the city’s cultural precincts and saw it as the perfect host for the paint and sip studio concept.
