Food is great and our cook was very entertaining! However the wait staff let them down — generally if you spill a drink on someone you apologise not run away. To save any further clothing being ruined I’ll avoid the place from now on. Toilets are also VERY disgusting!

Japanese Restaurant, nice atmosphere, blocks out the noise from outside, went there on Scoopon voucher for lunch… All good, quite good for the very small amount paid for a Teppinyaki Lunch. Just a few finishing touches missing, no water offered with meal and attention could be paid to presentation… I’d go back again for Dinner… To see if that exceeds Lunch :)

Great deal from Scoupon. Decided to try it and the food was delightful. Not quite busy so I wouldn’t know how well they handle busyness. The chef was very nice however it’s not quite like other tepanyaki where there is some major entertainment whilst cooking.

This place used to be great but the service now is so bad that we avoid the place. Last visit there saw 3 out of 4 tables get up and leave. Need better wait staff.

It might not be cool but I love teppanyaki. South Melbourne’s Sakura in Spring does classic Japanese teppanyaki and does it well. Sit around the chef’s table and watch with delight as he tosses, chops, marinades, cuts, juggles and throws food straight on to your plate. Go for a Tepanyaki set menu to experience this to the fullest. The Yukiyama set, at $ 49.00 per person, comes with miso soup, vegetable salad, king prawn, calamari, teriyaki chicken, beef tenderloin, vegetables, fried rice and japanese green tea. A little tacky perhaps but there’s just something so fun about an interactive meal. Go with family or friends and get everyone involved.
