This is exactly what you’d hope for in a corner café. I stopped in for lunch today, had a delicious sandwich and cold drink. It hit the spot! Service was very friendly and it seemed to have a steady stream of customers. If you’re in the area and in the need for a meal, you’re safe here

Caffe Boulevard is a great little place to pop into for a quick breakfast or takeaway coffee if you work around the area. They do some cheap breakfasts, including their $ 4.90 special and my favourite-a stack of pancakes for $ 7.50: bargain! They aren’t anything special but still good value for money. The ladies behind the counter are very nice, especially to their regulars and they make a good coffee. They also have wraps and salads that make great take-away for lunch. Not somewhere to go out of your way for but if you”re in the area and suffering from the munchies, its the perfect pit stop.

I’d always seen Caffe Boulevard packed on weekends and I was interested in giving it a try. I was especially drawn in by their banner advertising a big breakfast(bacon, egg, tomato and toast) for $ 4.90. I’ve been there for breakfast twice since. The first experience I had wasn’t very pleasant; I ordered a fresh orange juice which was great, but the bacon and egg muffin was chewy and looked like it had been made hours ago and reheated. The second time I breakfasted there I got the eggs on toast with mushroom and a pot of tea. Both were lovely; the mushrooms were seasoned well and the toast was thick and fluffy. If you’re after a basic, hearty breakfast at all hours(and for a very reasonable price) swing by Caffe Boulevard…(but avoid the bacon and egg muffin). Located on the corner between Boundary St and Little Edward St, Caffe Boulevard is quite loud, and not the most romantic breakfast spot. I’d drop by here for a quick coffee with friends, or if you need to spend the morning reading the paper or catching up on reports.
