Lol. Sloppies. Their service is so sloppy. 4 hours later for a meal? Check. Cold chips? Check. Excuses? Check. «Oh I can’t come upstairs to deliver your order». Yet every other delivery place can? If you order lunch and want it to come at dinner, order here. If you want a midnight snack, order at dinner. I remember one time when my food was delivered hours later and all I wanted to do was stuff my face and the delivery woman(owner) is like«blah blah blah, excuses blah blah, life story», I’m like«I’m kinda want to eat now seeing I’m kind of hungry. and don’t you have other customers waiting??» Some people just shouldn’t go into business. Or perhaps try a different business. I’m surprised this place is still open. Ordered from here 3 times –spaced out. Same waiting times, same shit food. Wouldn’t recommended. Although I haven’t been to their dine-in restaurant so I can’t comment on that.

–Has overcooked food on some days, and chips like wet spaghetti on others. –Overpriced — Has slower-than-a-snail delivery –Has unprofessional staff who answer the phone with«yeah?» instead of a polite greeting, and offer apologies more rarely than Haley’s comet orbits the earth. Buckle in, lads. This is a long story. Last week my household made the mistake of ordering from Sloppies in Spring Hill. «Hey guys! There’s a new American BBQ place in Spring Hill and they have no minimum delivery charge!» I said. «Let’s order!» We placed an order at approximately 6.30 through MenuLog. I got a text message half an hour after I ordered saying that our estimated delivery time was 7.50. I was slightly irritated, but still excited at the prospect of eating some curly fries. 7.50 came and went. I considered calling but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I got a phone call at 8.25 saying that our order hadn’t even been processed yet and that several items we’d ordered weren’t available. I was then told that they were having problems with their ordering system but we’d have our food very soon. I wasn’t given an apology. At 8.50 pm, I called the restaurant to ask if the food had been dispatched with the intention of canceling if the answer was no. This time, I did receive an apology for the long wait. I was told that the ordering system had crashed completely and that she didn’t know whether our order had left the store or not. She then asked what suburb I was in and when I told her she declared with confidence that our order had indeed left the store 5 minutes ago. I live a 14 minute drive from the store. 9.05 came, and no food. The food arrived at 9.20, and it was cold. The fries were dry and burnt black. The burgers were unmarked. We rang to complain and the woman offered excuses rather than apologies and belligerently denied all responsibility for the terrible service we received. In the end she offered us a refund and a replacement meal to be ordered whenever we would like… but still no apology for the long wait time and horribly cooked food. I called the store on the following Monday to take them up on their offer for a replacement meal. I was told that they were only serving one particular menu item that evening so I couldn’t order that night. Again, no apology, but still I accepted this and ate a large bowl of bacon for dinner instead. I called again tonight to try one last time to place my order at precisely 6pm — so we would receive the food before we all turned seventy and died of hunger. I was immediately placed on hold with an unceremonious clunk that made me move my phone away from my ear in surprise. I was told that she would hang up and call me back in 5 minutes with an answer. I waited 20 before I called back to ask what the problem was. The system was still down, she said, so she was unable to find my order. I kindly offered to email her through my menulog confirmation from last week so she could process my order and have it delivered to us. She mumbled the store’s email address but I managed to write it down. We waited for 17 minutes, before calling the store again. I received the same excuses, but was at least told that we would definitely receive a call back when the system was sorted out. The next wait was for twenty everlasting minutes, then my phone rang. I was FINALLY told that she had confirmation of our order and that we’d get three free drinks and a dessert for our patience. The food arrived quite promptly, to their credit. Our free cokes were the highlight of the meal. Notable also, was our free dessert, comprised entirely of air.(a.k.a, no dessert at all.) In our last order, the chips and burger buns were rock solid. This time they were soft, which is desirable in a bun but not so much in a chip. They slithered down my throat like snakes, and I began to feel slightly ill. Note: The owner of the store recently made a Facebook status imploring customers not to «crucify» the store without giving them an opportunity to fix their mistakes. She said: «I am a hands on business owner that has worked way too hard to be unfairly drag through the mud over issues that could have easily been resolved with 1 simple phone call.» The thing that bothers me about this statement is that my issue wasn’t resolved with 1 phone call. The store’s owner made it very difficult to register my disappointment — I had to call the store many times with increasing levels of frustration before anyone even attempted to rectify the situation — and even then I wasn’t completely satisfied with what I received.. I really don’t think that complaining about terrible service is unfair when this restaurant has given their patrons so many reasons to be upset. All in all, I was very disappointed with my experience, and I won’t be ordering from this restaurant ever again.

My work colleague and I got dinner from here, she ordered a burger and I the hot dog. Oh my god they were amazing though filling and the burgers were huge. Don’t be put off by the appearance of the place, it’s tiny inside so it’s a take away not a sit in. Take cash as no eftpos facilities though a few doors up at the 7⁄11 is an ATM if you forget. We ordered ahead and picked up and the service was friendly. Overall this would be a great place to grab a bite to eat on your way home on a late night if your a local. They open 6pm to 2am Friday nights. They have a website that has the menu and prices.

Damn I really wanted Sloppies to be good. I didn’t go in with high expectation, but I was hoping for some over the top, so-bad-it’s-good all American grub. I had the traditional sloppie which was a bit underwhelming for the price, and even with the ‘freedom fries’(they were out of curly fries– big disappointment) I was still hungry — and I’m a smallish girl. For their namesake dish the sloppie joe wasn’t tasty enough for me to go out and recommend to anyone. Maybe take away or delivery would be ok, but to dine in you sat out the back in the car park, with flood lights blaring in your eyes. Not the kind of place that makes you feel comfortable forking out so much money. Asked the guy for the dessert menu and when I tried to order the Oreo cakers he said«what the hell is that?» I showed him on the menu and he didn’t think they’d made that before. Then he said they could only really make 3 things on of the 10 on the menu. Not because they sold out, but because no one orders it so they never get the ingredients. Way to give me confidence in your kitchen! We left hungry and poor.
