Midori Sushi

Great selection of fresh sushi rolls made by the wonderful staff. In St Agnes of all places is this independant little sushi restaurant that is a breath of fresh air compared to the sushi chains. My favourite is the little packets of ariburi salmon they sometimes offer, with a drizzle of japanese mayo and a sprinkling of scallions.
Also… dumplings! Anyone getting dumplings from thr nearby wokinabox must try Midori sushi IMMEDIATELY! Their fried dumplings are plump and juicy, with a crisp underside and a soft steamed outer. They are served with a vinegar and soy dipping sauce — and chilli can be added using the bottles on the tables. They are simply delicious — comfort food at its best.
Their hot meals are tasty and filling — katsu chicken and pork are crisp, and the japanese curry flavourful with a decent amount of vegetables. Their fried rice and fried noodle are tasty and not too oily, and the lovely staff are willing to make it to your specifications, should you have any.
Well now I’ve gone and made myself hungry for dumplings. It is a pity they are not open Sundays.
