Super cool stuff, great style, cool gals working there, right down the street, and a variety of options for all budgets. Love it.

I absolutely love this store.(no, it’s not just because of its name) Established in 1992, the large emporium stocks quality mid 20th century furnishings, decorative home ware, art, collectible Danish and Italian designer pieces and mixes this with quality custom designed Australian made furniture. If you’re looking for a timeless aesthetic, The Bitch is back will be a delight. Everytime I walk into this store, I always find something I love and in fact have to restrain myself, lest my home becomes more cluttered than it already is. Currently, I’m in love with a lovely 50’s style sideboard, a unique light bulb lamp(which looks like a shattered light bulb) and some polka dotted jugs. There’s also a rug that I am contemplating and a mirror that will look great in my bathroom. The guys who work here are really helpful too and have an eye of style so if you’re having a design dilemma and need a little friendly advice, you can count of them to help.

I love love love this place! Not that I could ever afford to purchase most of what is on offer — but I love visiting the store anyway, the eclectic and unique collections at The Bitch warm your heart, make you feel good and turn furnishings into absolute pieces of art. Think retro 80’s, avante guarde eclectic pieces, old European antiques and flamboyant and colourful home décor. It’s what The Bitch is all about! I love the range of overstated, room centrepiece lighting, art deco and antique chairs, unique Australian art collections and other rare collectibles of a bygone era. Recycled home furnishings that double as works of art, The Bitch has taken what is old and turned it into original, vintage classic pieces. Even if you can’t afford what’s here, it’s worth a visit just to be inspired.

No, this store isn’t an homage to Elton John, though some of the pieces would suggest otherwise. Some furniture is indeed quite flamboyant, but that’s what you get when a store is dedicated to mid 20th century furniture. You’ll find items anywhere from the 20s and 30s to the late 90s, but be sure that whatever era you’re searching for you’ll only find the absolute best. Of course this comes with a heavy price tag, but the pieces are just deliciously wonderful. I almost bought a petrol pump from the 1960s, but then I remembered I’m not a millionaire and I don’t really need a petrol pump… I still wanted it, though. If you’re not loaded, this might just be a great place to get inspired by some really intricate and unique design.
