History

Established in 1985.

Originally, we designed and manufactured data storage devices for the Apple Macintosh computer. That included designing the hardware (at a time when hard disk drives were overblown floppies) and software (device drivers), so we knew the data storage internals intimately.

Data recovery came out of clients (ours and our competitors’) losing files by accident (there was no recovery software for the Macintosh at that time and the PC utilities available were very limited).

The technology has changed enormously since then (our first hard disk drive was an «enormous» 20 Megabyte ;), but not the value of one’s work.

Electronics designer with a couple of degrees in Analog (Paris) and Digital (London) elecronics. Personal interest: digital acoustics.

At Xyber, we are all geeks who enjoy a challenge and won’t be beaten by a piece of hardware.

We charge as little as we can get away with because we prefer to have many happy customers who recommend us unreservedly instead of a small number who come to us begrudgingly.
