I am very particular about which doctor I go to. Growing up I would always go to the same doctor and had a good relationship with them. I really want to be comfortable with my doctor, especially when it comes to those more personal and intimate visits that are bound to arise every now and then. So when I moved to Brisbane I was a little hesitant to find someone new. I have tried a few doctors but once I went to St Lucia Medical, I knew I had found a good match.
The doctors here are very friendly and take the time to make you feel comfortable and safe and valued. The admin staff are also extremely nice and know you by name if you come in regularly. Everytime I have been there they have always been smiling, even when it has been quite busy.
All doctors are notorious for running late, but at St Lucia Medical this has only happened to me once and I was only waiting for 15 mins. They offer a good range of magazines and childrens books in the waiting room, so any wait you do get seemingly goes fast. While St Lucia Medical does not bulk bill, they are reasonably priced for their services. I would definitely recommend them if you prefer a more personalised GP experience.
