The range is very small and the store itself is pretty small too, however they’re more likely to stock more trendy plant items, like the fiddle leaf fig than Bunnings. There is a café within the store, so if you’re in the middle of a gardening meltdown you can always take a coffee break before you really lose it! Service is very friendly and helpful, a billion times more helpful than Bunnings.

Mum and I went to Waldecks on Monday to take a look at their Lemon trees since I thought the ones at a certain hardware/garden centre, that shall remain nameless, were crazily overpriced and looked about ready to drop all their leaves. We’ve been to this Waldecks a number of times simply because they’ve got an enclosed playground the lil man can play in while we have a coffee in the peaceful surrounds of the plants and fishpond, plus it’s close to home and the food is great! We each had gourmet baguettes which are very reasonably priced and very very fresh, and we shared a bowl of chips. The food came quickly and the service was great. Now, I get that traditionally garden centre cafes are for the«oldies» but I honestly think this one is worth a try for anyone. Apparently they do a good breakky(I’m yet to try, but will soon) and the coffee is pretty good too. And Mums and Dads, the playground… oh the playground, it’s wonderful. You can see them from anywhere that you sit and it’s gated. Bliss! oh btw. I got a lemon tree, very reasonably priced and I got some great advice on how to get lots of fruit from it from the lady at the counter.(let’s hope It doesn’t die.)

Very attractive garden centre that also has a café. Sitting amongst all the garden greenery makes you feel at home. It has a wide selection of plants, trees, vegetable & herb seedlings. Staff will wheel your heavy bags of manure & potting mix to your car & place them in the boot as well.
