To all my ladies looking for the best quality full lace or lace front units, you have come to the right place! The first unit I bought from Freedom Couture was in 2014 and in total I’ve bought 5 wigs from them in a variety of lengths and color. Below I’ll name the pros and cons of buying units from them
CONS :
— Delivery time may take a while depending on if you received express shipping.
— Units range from $ 600-​$ 1,500 depending on length, style, color, and customizations; (silk top, clips/​combs, elastic band, and full lace/​lace front.)
— Professionalism; on multiple occasions I’ve had difficulty getting in touch with them. Sometimes there responses don’t make too much sense and their responses seemed rushed and pushy… This would normally not be an issue, but considering I was spending a lot on this custom unit I wanted to feel assured that my unit was perfect.
— Inconsistent Wig Quality; What I mean by inconsistent is that I’ve ordered 5 wigs from them and ³⁄₅ were amazing, the other two I was not impressed by AT ALL. I ordered the Kendall Jenner Unit and when I took it out of the box it was SO THIN. Literally there was no hair un the unit, I contacted them to see what I could do and they guaranteed that for my next order they would throw in free shipping. The other unit I was disappointed by was the Balmain Unit… It seemed as if there were two blunt textures in the unit; the front was slightly damaged and wouldn’t hold a curl, while the back was beautiful… Unfortunately the wig did not last too long because I had to trim all of the split ends. The other units I received were great, but it’s unfortunate that you receive a flawed unit when you invest so much of your hard earned money into it.
PROS :
— HAIR QUALITY is ¹⁰⁄₁₀ depending on the unit you buy. My Rihanna Ombré Unit was by far the most amazing, thick, voluminous wig I’ve ever received from them AND it had color which was healthy, full, and professionally done. The Kim K «lob» unit I purchased from them is by far my favorite right now. The hair flat irons well and holds a curl pretty well, also. I also ordered the Alize Unite (bob) from them and the cap is a little tight but it looks very natural. Overall the majority of units I’ve received from them have been great.
— If you order express shipping, your unit will usually get to you within 2 weeks, I’ve never waited longer than that for a unit. (Also they come in the most adorable box… the presentation is really nice.)
— LACE QUALITY… Even though some of the units I’ve received from them haven’t met my actual hair standards… the lace is amazing. No need to even put concealer on the part. It’s amazing how many people think this is my real hair… Both silk top and lace are realistic looking. The silk tops are slightly bulky but the texture of the silk top and unit blend perfectly. P. S. I’m guilty of putting my units through hell and back but not once did the lace rip, tear, stretch or lose it’s form. Also if you’ve ever bought one of those lace wigs with the hard, sharp lace that could rip your forehead in two… yeah, no. These wigs are made with PREMIUM lace, not barbed wire.
— The Custom color on these wigs is flawless… especially if you’re looking for a blonde or eccentric colored unit. The hair did not look damage after it was lightened, did not turn into hay after I washed it, and came toned, and perfectly ashy blonde. I was nervous ordering a unit that had blonde in it because it didn’t want it to be orange. But it looked like VS bombshell styled hair… and the curl held until I decided to straighten it or re-​curl it.
— LONG HAIR DON’T CARE… I have to say this company will provide you with the best length options out there. (puts RPG show to shame) Even though I received a unit from them that was 24″ and it was really thin, the other three I got with longer lengths, (All 24″ and 22″) were luxurious and looked so realistic. The way Freedom Couture distributes the thickness of hair on a full lace unit is impressive. The front of my unit wasn’t too thick and didn’t look «wiggy». It was really thick in the back with an added invisible track that gave my wig that extra oomph. I’m considering purchasing their Goddess Curl Texture in a 30″ and can’t wait to see what the ends look like.
— Last but not least… Practicality. Spending a grip on a wig is not practical. But neither is damaging your own hair with heat styling or spending hundreds every couple months on weave installations and bundles that damage your edges and don’t last more than 3 months. These units are an investment. You really get what you pay for. If you are natural and want to protect your strands, have alopecia, have damaged hair and want another option to protecting your ends, or simply just love the versatility and luxury of a lace unit, then look no further. Treat yourself.

ok i was so exited to order from freedom couture from what i seen on her ig! so i went ahead and waiting for the birthday sale to order my unit. i emailed freedom couture before placed my order because i wanted a full unit with added bundles added to it and she told me great we can do that just place your order so i sent her 1500 aud and 218usd on the 23 of aug! then was told i will have my unit on oct 1 or the 5^th i’m like great all i have to do is wait right well wait is the right word. so on sept 28 i email freedom couture just to see if i can get a picture of my unit before its sent out just to make sure i love the color and its full how i want it so i wont have to send it back to australia and wait
took them a week to reply just to let me know there running behind and i will have my unit in 10 to 21 days.
mind you i had to email them just asking for a picture! just for them to email me a week later telling me there running behind can we say so unprofessional!!! at this point im mad but i want my unit i waited this long right. so i went ahead and told them ok i didn’t get a sorry or will send you a free wig cap for the inconvenience with your order! so i email them last week asking for another picture and was email 3 days later teling me they no long will be able to mke my unit heres the email.. (due to an accident out of our control we will not be able to complete your order

its oct 15 at this point and there reopening on (nov 1) does this make since to anyone of you i placed my order on the birthday sale i get told after this crazy long wait that they cant make my unit but to reorder in 2 weeks when they reopen smdh…
if you had an accident out of our control or ran out of hair dont advertise on ig facebook and your website telling costumer to place orders on nov1 when you cant!!! even fulfill orders from back in aug.
freedom couture is so unprofessional! i wouldn’t even shop with them again. ill make sure to tell all of my coworkers who sytle for celebs dont even bother and im going to have to call my good girlfriend to see how taymar likes her and see when he placed her order bloop!

I was super nervous ordering a wig (relatively) sight unseen, and especially online from another country (I’m in the US). But once it arrived I couldn’t keep myself from running my fingers through the hair over and over — it’s absolutely beautiful and super high quality. I’m in the process of growing out my pixie cut for my wedding, and this is the single best wig I’ve come across that can help me get through the awkward hair phases. No one likes the mullet hair phase. No one.

In short, this salon is the best of a bad bunch. It’s not a good salon by any means. Hair is brilliant, service and expertise… not so great. I’ll prefix this by saying I am a trained hairdresser. Hairdressers have like a radar, they can pick up other hairdressers in the area or something I swear. Nobody in here was a hairdresser.
My first impressions were pretty terrible, first of all it’s listed as 531 Hay Street. It’s a giant block of small units, the only way I found the place (after walking all the way around the block) is when the owner showed up in her Jeep that she posts all over Instagram and I followed her in about ten minutes later as she was just opening up and I didn’t want her to feel rushed.
The salon décor was ridiculously tacky, everything looks better with an Instagram filter. There were rhinestones over everything, not even nice rhinestones — just like cheap moulded plastic. The walls had really cheap red dot wallpaper. I usually wouldn’t complain about décor, but the owner totes the salon as exclusive and luxurious. Nothing near it. I’d even go so far to describe it as ratchet. There were wigs lining the wall, and ohhh my god I can’t speak personally about the quality of the colors but the color jobs on the wigs were so busted. Even my mom noticed and told me in the car. The colors were blocky and the hair looked really damaged. The non-​color treated wigs were beautiful and I just wanted to buy them all. Seriously gorgeous.
When I entered the salon, exactly on my appointment time — I wasn’t greeted by anyone. There were three people in the salon including the owner and none of them were actually doing anything but stand around. Eventually I walked up to the front desk and told them I had an appointment, during this time the owner had a regular client walk in and she was gushing over her and offered her a coffee and chocolate. I wasn’t offered anything, not that it’s a huge problem but for a «luxury» salon I’d expect maybe an offer? Anyway, I felt a bit judged by the staff. I’m a big woman, and I’m white. The owner frequently says on Instagram how she hates being judged for being a white woman running an afrocentric hair business. I felt VERY awkward when I came into the salon, nobody was friendly in the slightest and the owner didn’t greet me or my mom despite being in the room for about five minutes before her other client came in. Nonetheless, I was greeted by a staff member (her name was Alex i think?) and she seated me in a chair.
Now this is going to sound pedantic but I’m short as hell, and the chair was pushed up way too high. It had a lever on it! She could’ve lowered it down as I was clearly struggling to get into it. Anyway she did a fairly decent consultation, this was the best part of the service. I explained I just wanted to buy a wig and what my budget was. She didn’t push for me to buy a $ 1500 wig or anything, she was very fair about the selection. She fitted the wig for me, the quality was exceptional. She talked me through a bit of how to put the wig on etc. I said great! let’s do this! I get out my credit card and she goes «oh we don’t do eftpos…» being a credit card I pay extra to get cash out. No way. She offered paypal as an alternative.
Anyway as I was paying through my paypal account, she was preparing my wig. She cut the lace, looked great and then began the process of her «layering» the hair. Never in my life have I seen someone take so long to «layer» a haircut. When I got home and cross checked it… she had just randomly chopped at it and hoped for the best pretty much.
The wig is gorgeous, but avoid actually going in if you can. Though paying $ 40 delivery for a wig in the same city? I don’t think so.
If you’re reading this Francesca, congratulations on all your success but don’t forget that you have new clients coming in and they might be the client that’ll bring you 1000s of dollars of revenue. I probably won’t return, but the hair is lovely. That’s all I’ll say.

For those who have live in Perth or have travelled to Perth will know how small the city is and when you have african hair and are desperate for a good weave, your choices are limited. VERY LIMITED.
One of those options is Freedom Couture Hair Salon.
Let’s start off with the actual salon it’s self.
The location is perfect. 10 minutes (possibly less depending on traffic) from the city. Centrally located in the prestige suburb Subiaco and only a 10 minute walk from the train station for those who travel by public transport. So easy to get to.
Now the décor… apparently it’s meant to be ‘everything luxurious’ but since visiting the salon, it has seemed to become more tacky with each renovation. It is as if the owner had gone to Red Dot and bought anything that had glitter or fake diamontes on it. The feel of the place is plastic and cheap, definitely not luxurious. Sometimes less is best
I’ve purchased all sorts of hair from Freedom Couture; wigs, weaves, straight, curly, u-​part, everything and it’s either a hit or a miss. I’ve had some of the most beautiful hair from her and I’ve had some of the worse. The safer option is definitely just going with the ‘Virgin Unprocessed Hair’. ⁹⁄₁₀ times, it is beautiful. If you are looking for colour, I strongly suggest buying the virgin hair and taking it to an actual ‘colourist’, who can do the job for you. The owner has experience and certificates in weaving, not colouring. I would not be surprised if she has just taught herself through youtube videos. I have had her colour my wigs for me a couple of times, and each time they come out extremely dry and last only for a few months. Also, very rare chance you will get colour you have asked for and she will still charge you for it.
The hair ranges from $ 100 — $ 1000+ depending on what you after. Most wig units are sold from $ 500+
Hair products sold within the salon vary from $ 25+
Advice — do not buy the products that she swears by. Do some research of your own, you have better chances finding something more affordable and does a better job.
Weaving service —
One of the best things about Freedom Couture is the weaving techniques offered. There are all different methods and ways to cater to all nationalities and scalp types. Most of these techniques she has self-​taught which is impressive and never had one complaint about it, although it can be abit tight but that’s just a given. Looks natural and last quite a while considering it is a wig weaved to your head. Not many are aware that I even wear a wig, and this is why I still continue to use Freedom Couture’s services.
Weaving prices– $ 200+ (not including hair!)
& she still continues to up the price! A little frustrating for those on a budget.
Now about the owner herself — Fransesca.
Fransesca is 22 years of age who has accomplished more than some middle aged people have or will ever. Although she has been successful so far, her age still shows through her work.
An example of this is the facebook page. The page has some great examples of the work she does but there’s alot to sought through like the countless photos of her standing by her new JEEP with a caption saying ‘hi to my haters’, the countless photos just her with a caption saying ‘I’ll be doing rihannas hair while you are getting your centrelink payment’ and more and more after that. We get it. You have a Jeep. Congrats. We get it. You have haters. We understand you have been hard done by in your past but if you were really not bothered by the ‘haters’, why must you make a post every 12 hours? At first it was inspiring, now it’s a little sad and old.
You would think her success would be enough to rub it one’s face but just incase, check her facebook page and you will surely get the message ;)
In regards to her actual service and professionalism… eh.
I do believe it differs from each to client. She can either be really nice, super friendly and willing to help with whatever or she can be really not be bothered with you entire existence. I’ve had friends that I had recommended to go her, come back and not impressed with the service. Apparently coming across a bit rude.
Since she has known me for a longer time, I don’t have that issue with her.
But something I do notice is that she is a little pushy in regards to buying hair. You may be on a budget of $ 300 and she will be trying to throw $ 600 lace wig down your throat. It can be a bit much, you just have to learn how to say no.
Her conversation is okay, but not genuine. Sometime’s I can’t help dread the next appointment for this reason.
Also, it’s CASH ONLY… I hope you are happy to carry around $ 500 plus otherwise she will make you walk across the road to get cash out.
All in all — it’s a choice. It’s expensive, the service is average too poor but the hair is good.
If only there were more options in Perth, I’d be taking my money elsewhere. Until then, I shall suck it up and join the rest of the que.

Take your money and run.
Felt awkward about going and my gut feeling told me to stay away as the handful of experiences with legit hair salons have been tragic while I’ve had about 85% success with self-​taught high school students and single mums. Anyway, after over a month of calling (loooong holiday), I got a hold of the owner. I described my issues and concerns as well as highlighting my active lifestyle which requires no Princess b.s.-ing around. She dismissed them all and I foolishly went with her recommendation. In addition to all my concerns coming to fruition (itchy, sweaty, unnatural looking) and then some (the matting, the unnatural shine, the frizz, the major shedding). I went back twice. The owner, who did not once acknowledge my presence in store yet talkedtalkedtalked her weave off in the process of selling it via phone, didn’t deal with it. Her kind, friendly staff tried their best but ultimately, they failed to correct the major issues. After $ 500+ on hair + highly overrated oil spray and another $ 200+ on products to tame the furry road kill on my head, I feel a need to share my experience. I’m on a tight budget and getting that travesty for 6.5 weeks came at the expense of 14 weeks of my leisure budget.
