I went here with a friend of mine a few months ago. He had never been to Sunnybank before since he lives near the city and we decided to come here because we happen to know the chef personally in which we ended up getting a 10% discount off our meals and drinks. Would definitely come back here again in the near future, best service and friendly staff as well.

We took a special trip into the hustle and bustle of Sunnybank just to go to this place and it was worth it, they even sell vodka! Chef Sun is really friendly and has a special talent for what he does. Best 1pm vodka and jungle burger ever! will be back.

Just terrible. If anyone thinks this place serves anything close to an adequate dessert, they are severely misguided and have obviously never had dessert anywhere respectable. I’m sure this place is great for the outer-suburb dwelling masses, but for anyone with taste, it is a must-avoid.

Thoroughly excited that we didn’t have to pay or go to some fancy branded dessert place to get some dessert right in the heart of SBank(Sunnybank) my friends and I trooped over to Coco Jungle from eating it up at Market Square. It is a narrow lounge type place with two entrances, front and from inside the food court and serves alcohol. The menu was long and there were lots of choices for my Italian Hot Chocolate(thickness level 1 – 3). I ordered the thickest level naturally… after all, it is supposed to be an Italian Hot Chocolate, custard thicken that sucker up please I Unilocaled(my italian hot chocolate was lumpy and I only drank 1⁄3). We also ordered the Churros for two which came with 9 long churros’ cut into 3, a chocolate fondue and some bananas and strawberries. In addition, the Belgian waffle for 1(two small waffles topped criss-crossed with chocolate sauce, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chopped up strawberries and bananas). We didn’t wait long for our food, and the customer service was spot on, friendly, attentive and there is free water on the counter if you are thirsty. The churros was great, I couldn’t fault it, the fruit fresh, the chocolate good. Having said that, even though the churros were crispy and hot, the batter wasn’t super authentic and there was no cinnamon sugar(come on!). Just a little bit please? The Belgian waffle was really cake-like and filling, not really crispy and great tasting. So while this is a cool and groovy dessert bar placed smack bang in the middle of the food court, the desserts(they also have crepes and dutch pancakes on the menu) are all chinese-d up meaning not that authentic tasting. Having a great dessert place is not just being able to serve hot deep fried batters, the taste has to be authentic, care has to be taken to make it authentic… it did fill the dessert hole, it was very very reasonably priced, but there was nothing super special about this place that would warrant me going back on a frequent basis.
