Service is slow and the pancakes are average. On a plus side they have gluten free pancakes. But I can’t say it’s worth the wait or the price. I won’t be returning but it filled it’s purpose considering the kids wanted pancakes and we got to side in their booth shaped hot air balloon.

If you want some serious pancakes this is your place! I had the blueberries pancakes and holy moly! A good size dish and tasted great, I’m sitting here struggling to move I’m that full! Also has great friendly service, coffees aren’t the best but they aren’t the worst either! I give this place 4 stars

If you have the appetite for a big breakfast, this is the place to go! The portions are huge! I ordered the vegetarian breakfast bag it was delicious! The only complaint is the prices are a little steep.

Pretty good«American» pancakes ;) We also had ice cream with breakfast which was good. The hot air balloon atmosphere is also cute!

When we first walked in we were confused by the hot air balloon seats, but we were hungry so we moved on. The place smelled like a combination between chucky cheese and a gas station bathroom. We were already dehydrated from a crazy night on the town but the water service was terrible. One of our own had to go back to the well behind the building to fetch us some water. The food was decent and the pancakes were fluffy. Hot sauce selection was pretty weak and only offered tabasco. I don’t know what Australians think bacon is, but this meat was rubbery and flaccid. The good? Our waitress Samantha was a certified dime and but was one step away from stripper. Overall, this place has the atmosphere of a funhouse and the service of clowns.

Decided on this place for breakfast with the wife and two kids under five. This place is all about the pancakes, obviously. And the pancakes are very good. My wife thought they were a bit modgey, but I didn’t find that with mine. I had the Canadian Works, which is two eggs, generous bacon, pan caramelised pineapple and banana. Wife had the standard Canadian(only one egg and no fried fruit). Kids had the short stack kids serve and kids Canadian. Both came with juice. Mum and dad had bottomless coffee, which was surprisingly good for drip filter(writes this espresso addict). All in all, it was a great brekky. Service was fast, and the staff were doing all they could to speed up our order taking. The menu is huge, so if you are indecisive, I would go elsewhere. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. Other savoury items are available. It’s a bit of an all-rounder.

More a 3 ½ star than a 3. PiP is well located on the waterfront of Coolangatta and was a popular spot during the Cooly Rocks On Festival. We had breakfast here on the two mornings we were at the festival. On the first morning I had Belgian Waffles with Strawberries and Icecream and on the second visit I enjoyed the Canadian Breakfast. This is a great spot for people watching, the service was pretty good consiering the crowds of people waiting to be fed. The waffles and pancakes were tasty and fresh. The coffee was pretty good too. On both occassions we were blessed with wonky tables which was a little annoying, but other than that it was a reasonable experience all round. It will more than likely be on our list of places to go again next year.

I would return but only if I was being a doting uncle spoiling the nieces and nephews again. This place had so much potential but failed to deliver on my expectations. The service was attentive and friendly but that is where it stopped. The coffee was insipid and what made it worse was that it was cold which was very disappointing. I ordered the Canadian with the works everything was on the plate as described on the menu but it just didn’t quite hit the mark. It’s hard to explain but every element was a little lack lustre … It was an average, clinical and boring plate that could have been so much better with just a little more effort. The venue appeared to be popular with the kids and the simplicity of the meals would no doubt appeal to children’s palates more than the adults. My 4 year old nephew appeared to enjoy his kids Canadian breakfast.

Love the breakfast there! Pancake is very fluffy! Similar to pancake on the rock but better!!! The décor is so cute! Children will be happy there! Portion is big one! But also the price is not cheap! Well it’s the middle of everywhere

Strawberry and cream pancakes were great however tasted a little undercooked .(still wet not fluffy) Reasonable pricing. Atmosphere isn’t flash but it’s not horrid . Staff were reasonably ok but nothing outstanding. If you care for just some fast pancakes then you will appreciate this place.

Sooooo good for breakfast. Similar to pancakes on the rocks. Thick soft pancakes, covered in cream and ice-cream with a side of the freshest strawberries I have ever tasted. Prices are a little steel but expected in the centre of surfers paradise.

Big, thick pancakes, and they’re tasty too — the syrup is right there on the table for you to drown them in. I’d stick to the pancakes though, don’t venture too far into the menu. I went for a breakfast which included bacon and mushrooms — whilst the bacon was huge and tasty, it was clear that it, and certainly the mushrooms, has been sat in a pot under a heater for some time. Fresh they were not. But the pancakes were. And that’s what’s in the title of this place, right? Younger crowd and very friendly but hard to find staff.

Similar to Pancakes on the Rocks in Sydney. Big portions and great pancakes. No healthy or gluten free options though.

The pancakes are rather thick and not quite what I expected. But very good breakfast food and very good meal for your dollar. There are also crepes if your not a pancake person. Although they do regular meals as well. Its more of a family styled restaurant with most of the booths looking like wicker baskets and balloons. If you feel like a challenge beat the record of pancakes eaten to win a fifty dollar instore voucher. I would suggest you are very hungry
