Was craving seafood so thought we’d try this place again. It’s definitely improved since last we came. This night I ordered a garlic bread, ½ dozen Oysters Mornay and the Sizzling Garlic Prawns. The garlic bread was a nicely cooked and sliced mini Cobb loaf. Plenty of butter but a little light on the garlic. The oysters were the highlight for me. Super fresh and cheesy. Just how I like ‘em. Only issue here was that whoever shucked them was a bit rough — there was a couple bits of shell shards. The prawns were nice and fresh and tasted great. Unfortunately the rice that it came on was just boiled rice — bland. Also, not enough garlic in this dish! MOAR! Overall there was no major issue with the food and I left content. I just wish they were a little bolder with their flavours.

This restaurant is just OKAY. I wouldn’t come here again if I had a choice. I got a fisherman’s basket for $ 12AUD plus 50cents for tartar sauce. This was a lunch special. The fisherman’s basket came with chips, fried fish, fried calamari, fried crab stick, fried shrimp, fried potato and a small side salad. All I could really taste was the fried breading; I couldn’t really taste the seafood. The portion was really big. I got tired and sick of eating so much fried stuff so I didn’t finish my food. It took us forever to get our food! I think we waited 40+ minutes. There were only 3 other tables that were there. Be prepared to wait a while if you come here.

$ 22 for a very mediocre surf n turd. It came with 4 buttery shrimp and a rump steak. The steak was overcooked but the shrimp was pretty good. It didn’t taste fresh though. Be prepared to wait a very long time for your food! It took ages for us to get our food. My party all got fisherman’s baskets which is a mix of fried seafood, and it was just ok. The fried imitation crab stick was gross. This price was a lunch special price too so I cannot imagine paying even more for this place! The taste and wait does not justify the pricing at all here !

Passing by and it wasn’t my choice, but a unanimous group decision led me to eat here. You order inside and get a number to sit down with. It’s a nice location, outdoor tables right along the walk path, good for people watching. Small fish, chips and salad was $ 8. The food was mediocre, I’ve had better fish, didn’t even touch the chips. To fill your stomach it’s not too bad, especially with prices. They did take quite some time to bring out our meals, you’d think they were catching the fish.

Breakfast was good, had the biggest with onions and mushrooms. Service: disinterested women, putting the teabag in the pot so it cod have started to brew wouldn’t have hurt. Guy that brought(& I think cooked my food) was happy to be serving me his creation.

After a night out in Surfer’s Paradise, we wanted a proper breakfast. We saw Seafood Empire’s specials and decided to try it out. I had the big breakfast and though it wasn’t anything fancy, it did the job. When ordering, they ask you how you’d like your eggs(fried, poached, or scrambled) and just FYI, you can’t have one egg a particular way. The big breakfast also comes with bacon, sausage, 100g steak, toast, and tomato. I really liked my bacon was a bit on the crispier side which I enjoy. Many of my friends ordered a cappuccino and were very pleased. I will probably try out a few other restaurants before coming back here but they were so kind to split the bill when we were checking out.

First time in Gold Coast, and I was just looking for a delicious meal to end my day in the beautiful town. My friends and I after surveying the town for a good 15 minutes, we finally decided to pick Seafood Empire because the prices were not too outrageous, and the menu looked good. You’re basically seated at a table first and you order at the main cashier. I ordered the fillet cooked medium with aioli sauce I believe. It was absolutely delicious and was amazed with how tender and moist the steak was. I paid about $ 13, so I was a very happy man. The reason why I give it 3 stars is that the time of our food to come out was so slow. I could see that there appeared to only be 2 chefs in the kitchen preparing and cooking for what was a full dining service — it was a Friday night, so certainly they expected this. It took about 20 minutes for our food to finally show up.
