I broke my self-imposed Unilocal ban to write this review — this shop is pretty darn good. At first I was sad that the little local hardware shop had shut down and I shuddered to think what would replace it. But alas! Only a couple of weeks later, Merchants of Swanbourne opened, and it is run by the wife(I believe) of the hardware shop owner. Huzzah! Things got a little bit better when I stepped inside the store. The shop is in the style of a house, which I adore. The first room you enter is filled with all cute decorations for your kitchen(cake stands, patty pans, glasses, bowls, coffee things) as well as serious pots and pans and the like, and a table full of gifts. I was dying of happiness. Walk through this room and into the back room and you’ll find yourself in the garden section — garden decorations, pet accessories, outdoorsy things that remain from the hardware shop(and also travel mugs — idk either). If you go upstairs, the first room you’ll come across is a dining room sort of thing — tables, chairs, clocks, cushions, tablecloths, etc, etc. Walk through to the bathroom to find bath salts, shower caps, travel bags and everything else you’ve ever wanted. Also upstairs is a kitchen(with only the best baking things I’ve ever seen outside of a cooking shop), a bedroom and a kid’s room. I’m sorry if this review is a bit long and ramble-y but this shop is so so so cute and pretty much the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
