The best macarons(or rather Zumbarons)! The texture is just right and the flavors are very special. I was blown away by the salted butter popcorn and the apple toffee macarons. While I didn’t have enough space in my tummy to try any of the other sweets, I can imagine they are delicious. Glad I was able to find this stand in the Queen Victoria Building during my time in Sydney. Until next time!

Good thing I learned about Zumbarons before I left! I love macarons(so much that I squealed way too loud for an adult when I turned the corner and saw Ladurée my first day in Sydney). When I learned about Adriano Zumbo and how he’s pretty much the pastry god of Australia, I knew I had to try his macarons before I left. I dragged the BF with me the day before our flight and got a box of six. I love the flavors they have(salted butter popcorn! Malted Milkshake! Brownie!) and how it’s totally unique. If I’m back in Sydney I’ll definitely come back for more macarons!

My first Zumbo… the pastries are so flaky and tasty, options seem endless and prices reasonable for the size & quality of the treats. It was lovely to grab a croissant and wander aimlessly throughout QVB. I recommend you try it some time. Just don’t attempt to go into any snooty shops while munching away or you will have the stink eye directed your way. You have been warned!

Oh em gee. Such amazing desserts. I was lucky enough to get the chocolate fondant topped with macaroons and glazed fruit. I’m not a fan of macaroons, but the combination of crunchy fruit macaroons and the dense chocolate was incredible. We learned quickly that a small slice goes a long way, as its so deliciously rich(and it does beautifully in the freezer when you realize your eyes are bigger than your stomach XD) Since they, we’ve tried the Passionfruit V8(unbelievable), the Passionfruit Tart(beautiful orange-yellow gradiant, just gorgeous) and the Lemon Meringue Tart(light as a feather — ruined me for all future Lemon Meringue). Everything is just flawless. And the bread rolls sold there are delicious(and cheaper than the Woolworths across the street — guess where I get my bread rolls now!) Not sure Zumbo knows how to make something that isn’t total heaven. The staff here vary in pleasantness, from delightful to almost rude, but not enough to spoil the experience. Kind of wishing I had an excuse to visit today!

Anyone who knows the Zumbo brand will be grateful to have a store in the CBD — and there’s no place more central than the QVB! It’s a shame they can’t stock the insanely popular(and delicious) Zonuts, or the full range of cakes they have. But they stock most things if you’re in need of a sugar fix on your way home from work. For anyone not familiar, the prices are definitely at the pricier end of the scale. But they’re the best pastries and cakes you’ll ever have!

Loved their desserts and easy access with the store at QVB. One of my favourite would be Malt & Teaser cake and Mylo can

Yay another Zumbo patisserie closer to my work place. The problem I have now is that it’s right next to my bus stop which only means that I’ll be eating more macarons or trying new cakes. Bought a box of macarons or Zubarons as Mr. Zumbo likes to call it. I’m liking the Pandan Sticky Rice which reminds me of a Thai dessert sandwiched between two crispy shells and with a slightly chewy filling. My other fave is the salted butter popcorn just loving how it melts in your mouth without the kernels getting stuck to your teeth. Definitely drop by and check out the various flavours or stay safe by getting the salted caramel macaron you won’t be disappointed.

The famous macarons(«Zumbarons») are to die for — malted milkshake and salted caramel on toast are my picks! Staff are friendly and patient(which is lucky because you will ‘um and ah’ over your choice for at least a little while!). The salted caramel tart is also divine — I went halves with a friend which was the right thing to do — it’s quite rich! While it would be great to be able to sit and have a coffee with your treat, you can’t do either of those things here — this is a shop front/kiosk only(not a café). Which is not really a drama as there are so many takeaway coffee/sitting spots nearby.
