Do not recommend! The salmon sushi plate seems a little expensive at $ 10 for lunch. Plus the quality of it was sub-par. Would not recommend for sushi as the seaweed was soggy and the fish did not taste fresh, nor did it taste like sushi-grade. The lettuce that was in the plate as part of the salmon salad was old as well with wilted leaves. The karaage chicken looked good but still question it all considering I even found a bug on the sushi. Do not plan to go back PERIOD!

WARNINGPLEASEREADTHIS!!! I went to this restaurant today 24 November 2015. It was recommended by a friend and had some ok reviews so I thought I would try it. I bought the two for $ 5 sushi rolls. I handed the lady $ 20 and she puts it away. She then turns around carrying $ 10 and $ 5 notes and gives me $ 5 telling me I gave her $ 10 and shows me the money. I walk away, but return telling her I was sure I gave her $ 20. She denies it again. Well the lesson I have learnt is never to return to this shop and to warn others of this practice. So be very careful and if this woman tries to play this trick on you let her know about this review and get your money back!!!

This is not a fancy place, but one of the best places to grab good cheap sushi. One of the best take away sushi at this end of town. The best thing is that after 5pm, you can get two sushi rolls for $ 3 — no matter, white, brown or black rice. The sushi is fresh and tasty. They also do fresh rolls, however, they are generally the first to go, so come in quick for those.

My pick for great value sushi in the CBD. Lunch with my sister recently in this little toybox of a shop was a real surprise. With their Bento box a snap at $ 13.80, with green tea and miso soup on the side, we walked away with a good food buzz that lasted all afternoon. No, it’s not terribly fancy, but the food I have always found to be great, you can always get a table at the back and the staff are politeness personified. Most of their business seems to be takeaway and with a way-better-than average combo box for $ 7 compared to twice that a couple of streets away, I’m not surprised. If you need a bit of peace and quiet, there’s a little sushi train here as well as the couple of tables to relax at. The other day a lovely lady shared her extra tempura around, beaming smiles…

In the heart of the city, with good food and great prices! I try to stop by here each time I’m in the city, coz I’m a sushi person, and I’m also very price conscious. There’s lots of little sushi stores around the city, but here it’s just that bit cheaper. The food is good too, but nothing too special. Foodies may turn up their nose, as the sushi isn’t gourmet, but I’ve tasted much worse; it’s good stuff. You can dine in, and I have, and that’s great too. It’s no high class restaurant, but I love it because its competitive, friendly, and tasty. You can get hand rolls for less than $ 2(if you buy more than one), and that’s a good price. It is an on-the-run place, it doesn’t have that class that you may be looking for, but do as I do, grab some sushi on the run, and save you’re self the $ 10 you’d be paying for lunch at Oporto’s next door!
