Mate of mine booked this place for us during the Sydney7s rugby week end. Hmm… Must have been based on price. The rooms are tiny. The hotels in Hong Kong are big in comparison to these rooms. Just enough room to get past the foot of the bed but had to crouch so not to hit my shoulder on the wall mounted TV(no foxtel). Bathroom also small, but the shower was big. Unfortunately the shower head would keep drooping and the pressure appalling. No mini bar(which is fine) do I bought some cold drinks for the fridge. When I got one in the morning expecting a refreshing cold juice… It was room temperature. Turned it up to max cooling, got back that night… Threw the juice out. No pool, no iron or board. Simple accommodation. On the plus side the staff were friendly and we could check our luggage in early and a so pick up late afternoon of checkout. Probably good value for price but basic accommodation. Luckily only needed to sleep there and did not spend any other time in the room. I recommend checking what they offer before booking and would suit for a place to crash when out in the city(handy location) but not if you intend spending much time in the rooms.

An upmarket backpackers which might have scored higher if it met my expectations that this was indeed a backpackers and not a suitable place for a travelling business executive. I will blame agoda for that. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms modern. Annoyances: there is a communal kitchen, lounge and dining area next to the communal laundry and unfortunately this is where the only ironing board in the place lives. You also need to check out an iron at reception if you need to iron a shirt. The place is ok but caters for a holiday market and I would suggest they appeal to south East Asian tourists the most. The location was great and it was just where I needed to be — close to everything. And it was very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. However, on this note, other hotels in the area probably do cater for what I was after better.
