Charlie chan is a great local pub to hang out with your mates for a great night out with less damage to your wallet. The drinks are quite reasonably priced and they’ve got the latest happy hour(til 9pm!) around here. Great place for predrinks and after work drinks. The ambiance itself isn’t great, but ppl come here for cheap drinks and not so much the premium seating.

Well, for an Asian inspired bar, there was Western music, a female live vocalist and a guitarist for about 30 mins before this really tacky dance music was piped through the venue. Woah, it was way too loud and almost scared the pants of us. Although it didn’t seem like too bad a place to have a drink, the girls were dressed up and the ambience sexy, the volume really needed to be turned down. It was dark in there and lights around the bar were cool but they didn’t have any Drambuie, I think they have almost everything else, but not the one drink I asked for. I just ended up getting a tap beer and then talked for awhile or should I say shouted for a while with my friends then left feeling despondent that we may have caused pre-mature deafness due to stopping by Charlie Chans for a drink.
