This little old bloke has a hole in the wall at the foot of the escalators to the AMP retail building. The coffee is actually quite good(At least on par with Cabrito at 7⁄10). The old guy is pleasant enough but he doesn’t have the most engaging personality. He’s met me a few times now, and we are still on a limited words basis. If he talked more the wait wouldn’t seem so long. I came here last week and I have also been a handful of times with a work colleague who used it as his arvo coffee stop. His main gripe is that the old guy has never given him a discount and he’s been going there everyday for months. Other coffee shops in the area DO offer loyalty card discounts. There’s also no seating. There’s not exactly standing either. If there is even one person in front of you the service is not fast. I have only been once in mid-morning and he did have 2 extra staff on so it must get busy at some point. In the afternoon it is usually him only. With so many other options in the area, I’m probably not going to come here too often. The days I usually go are due to convenience, since I am already having lunch at the AMP centre. In my normal day to day however, it is the furthest away from me of all the coffee shops I frequent. He does have an array of edibles which look good, but I haven’t tried anything other than the coffee yet.
