Haighs Chocolates

I’m in the somewhat financially dangerous position of having a family who like fine chocolate and a job just round the corner from what is probably Sydney’s finest chocolate shop. This means that every few weeks, I find myself here after work clutching a shopping list.
The chocolate is very good. Not cheap mind you, but very good. The single origin bars go down a treat in our house as do the choc coated macadamias and almonds (all in dark of course… anything else would be a crime against good taste).
Best of all, they give out free samples when you buys stuff so I can have a sneaky nibble on some chocolate in the train on my way home.

Haigh’s Chocolates sells, in my opinion, the best chocolates in Sydney. Whether it’s solid blocks or filled chocolates, they have something to tempt the discerning palate.
I have to be honest, it isn’t the cheapest chocolate that you’ll find but the quality is worth it. Forget Lindt, this is so superior that you’ll never want that or cheap stuff again.
Favourites in our house are the single origin dark blocks, the dark chocolate coated macadamia nuts and almonds, and the various pastilles. They do have milk chocolates but we prefer the dark.
After all purchases, they offer a taster of something. Today we were offered milk or dark pastilles. We chose dark and when I asked if I could have one extra for the teen who was waiting outside, the young lady serving me took a small bag and half filled it for us. It worked out at something like 5 chocolates each. That’s very generous so not only do they score highly in the quality of their produce, they score highly in customer service as well!

Edited 23÷01÷15. It took a while and 2 goes at getting it fixed by admin, but the address for Haigh’s in the QVB is now displaying correctly so the review is now right.

I remember having to put an order for Haigh’s chocolate every time my friend went down to Adelaide for work which was far and few between.
When they first opened up at the Strand and then later on at their flagship store in QVB. It brought a huge smile to my face. I was now able to get my chocolate fix any time.
My faves are the dark chocolate covered Turkish Delights and Macadamia and Coconut blocks. The Turkish delights are small morsels of rose water sugar gel cubes covered in the perfectly bittersweet dark chocolate. If you like bounty chocolate then the Mac and Coco blocks are for you but the milk the chocolate is more smoother and not overly sweet.
I love going to the QVB store cause it’s a lot larger with more stock readily available.
Remember to grab your handful of free chocolates after you pay.
