KFC

School… it’s a tough gig. Whenever we get a break, we want a good feed, good environment and good service. And… KFC George St provides this. I have never been so impressed with a Fast Food Store. Although the line for food can sometimes overflow, I feel as if the staff do their best to get you your food A$AP. As for the food, 5÷5… They cook their chicken with perfection and the chips are just… exquisite. If you think this place is all rainbows and unicorns… you’re wrong. The chicken salt. Never have I been so let down when ordering amazing KFC chips, to open the box and to see no chicken salt on them. It puts a tear on my eye. Overall though, this store provides good fun and a place to relax, have a good meal with my mates.

I make a point to goto KFC every city I visit. So when I came to Sydney I tried here.
I must say this is the dodgiest looking KFC place I’ve been to. It’s got 3 (small) stories. I went to the top story and half of the floor space had no lighting and people were eating in the dark. The tables are not cleared. And this is in the city not an outer suburb.
Foodwise — the chicken and chips tasted regular standard, nothing to rave above other KFC.

I Love KFC. In my mind, I love the meltingly good salt-​encrusted fluffy yet outer-​crunchy chips. I love the towering Zinger burger, replete with lettuce and funky fluffy sugared up bun, with that mayo that… yum yum yum yum…
Cue the wavy lines as we transition back from dream to reality:
Its never as good as in my head.
Soggy lettuce, food thats slapped together by someone who obviously doesn’t give a shit about working for KFC and chips that never live up to the hype that goes on in my head. Nor does that crisp coating of flour and 11 secret herbs and spices stay crisp in reality.
But the taste is ok. I always feel bloated afterwards though.
And the smell. I love it. But it always doesn’t smell right when I’m in the store. Why is that?
And the price. It was always pricey, but it still seems bloody expensive for what you ultimately get.
Does anyone remember when KFC used to do the whole roast chickens? Now they were the bomb! Please bring them back.
in the meantime, my dreams of wonderful KFC live on.

It’s so good but so bad…

I know, chain stores generally aren’t allowed on Unilocal,yet it is good to eat this stuff without worrying about putting on weight. Due to the cold weather, at times between shopping I cannot get enough of the following:
1. Grilled Taster Box — only $ 2.50, comes with a decent serving of chips and a piece of grilled chicken. Fairly healthy except for the chips, yet the serving of chips is so small it isn’t an issue. I throw the gravy away.
2. Streetwise Burger Meal — only $ 5.95. Love that healthy chicken burger with ample lettuce and some tangy, herby, peppery sauce. The chicken is only lightly battered. I do keep away from the fried stuff. Comes with chips I ensure I burn off… again. Drink; always water. The latter balances things out.
