So my car has a flat battery and i’m being told to go grab coffee. Closest place to my car was this place. Walked in and the vibe i get is a place to meet your mates to catch up over some coffee or other non alcoholic beverages. They have a large communal table near the front plus many more towards the back. The light features is pretty sweet! Ordered a cappachino and noticed they had a glass cabinet where all there sweet treats are kept. They all look pretty! Coffee was ok, I heard they do a pretty mean chai latte so may have to pop in to try it some other time.

This place is really cute. The décor is really nice, and god i appreciate that it’s open 7 days a week, and till quite late at night. It really feels good not to be rushed to leave when you’re in the middle of a deep conversation with friends. I’ve never tried anything else there than their Exotic Fusion Iced smoothie. It’s very good, maybe a bit too sweet for me but very refreshing. Love it. I’ve heard only good things about their hot chocolate and their desserts. Only drawbacks: the very small backyard/terrace is non-smoking area, which i can understand but this is quite disappointing. Also, the staff has never been friendly at all to me. Not a hello, not a thank you, barely a look at you, and when you dare ask a question, you realize their English is quite poor. I’m definitely not coming back for the staff. But everything else is on point!

Just dropped in for a take away coffee and croissant. My double espresso was more like a mini long black with the coffee shots being much too long. The chocolate croissant was a waste of consumed calories for me. It wasn’t light, flakey or fresh but the dark chocolate ganache inside was quite good. For a dessert place I had wrongly assumed it would have been made in-house but it has that day old«came straight from a cardboard box» taste.

Love the look and feel of the place! Tried the taro and rocher gelato shake. The shakes were incredibly watery… Somebody define shake for me please!

Not a fan. The interior is super cute and the location seems great, but I had to spend more than I wanted to partly thanks to the strict $ 10 card minimum. My initial order — a flat white and a ham and cheese croissant — were pretty close to $ 10, and I offered to pay a small transaction fee given that I simply didn’t have any cash on me at the time. But the cashier kept insisting that I add something small like a macaroon. I was pretty hungry and didn’t feel like finding another place, so I conceded — rules are rules, I get it. But after pushing it, dude didn’t even ask me what kind of macaroon I wanted. He just added it to the bill and quickly rang me through. If it weren’t for the fact that the wifi seems to be running pretty well, that I found a seat with a power point, and that this place is open pretty late, I’d be way more annoyed about the fact that my croissant was stale and that the mystery macaroon the cashier picked out for me was actually kind of gross. The flat white was okay, but the experience was unpleasant enough for me to avoid this place in the future.

I love the look and feel of this café and the coffee… OMG it’s amazing. I find the food to be quite expensive so I don’t tend to eat there although I tried the banana bread a couple of times but I found it quite floury. My partner disagrees. He loved it. I guess I just like the overly sweet banana bread myself. Again, the coffee is to die for and the atmosphere is lovely.

Open late, superb coffee and has a great ambiance. A cozy place to grab a chai latte and dessert at the end of a date.

What a weird name right? My Sweet Memory(MSM) I would describe this place as a fusion of Smiggle, Morning Glory, Chatime and an asian bakery. All of a sudden the name makes as much sense than the previous sentence. The front of the shop is stocked with stationary, novelty items and satchels and the rest of it is a regular coffee shop. Most of the business much be from the food as I never seen someone browse or buy any of that stuff. ICEGREENTEABLENDED $ 5.80 MSM ice green tea blended is unlike any other iced green tea beverage I have ever tasted. The subtle matcha green tea flavour with the ice blended to a pleasant consistency and there is no fault with the drink even the sweetness is well judged. This drink beats Starbuck’s Green Tea Frappuccino any day! PISTACHIOPROFITEROLE $ 4.95 A cake to forget, pastry was heavy and the cream had an artificial sensation in the mouth that tasted nothing like pistachio. The latter was also bitter and tasted like medicine(in a bad way). MAGNUMMOUSSE $ 7.90 Pretty surprised with this Magnum mousse. The outer shell looked solid as if made of chocolate but it was made of a gluttonous coating which holds the mousse. The flavours coming through were banana and quite simple. The wow effect and presentation were there but this dessert failed in depth of flavours and textures. Conclusion MSM is a quirky place to hang out and a good alternative to go to if Starbucks is full, although it does get quite loud when packed. The drinks line up cater for the Asian palette but also offer the standard coffee shop drink as well. It’s no surprise that their main selling point is their Green Tea Blended drink which is better than its competitors. Drinks are the only things I would return here for as the cakes were not to my liking. @thesydneynoob

Very poor service and below average food. Was served a super sweet drink that didn’t mention any sugar in its description. So I asked to replace and had to face outrageous rudeness of the staff

Wish I could say I like this joint – because it truly has a great ambiance. However, the food and drinks were mediocre(nothing that I will be returning back for). The one redeeming factor is the free wifi.

A nice boutique café just like in my hometown in Vietnam with elegant and bright décor. My favorite is hot green tea latte and blueberry smoothies. The shop also sells many cute gifts and stationary. Highly recommend for couples and friends.

My local coffee/chai latte(the chai lattes here seem to be one of the best places I’ve had in Sydney) fix place! Because its open 7 days a week, super close, and as its owned and staffed by koreans — the opportunity to practice some korean. Not to mention its open quite early on Sunday mornings and also really late at night too, so there is something for everyone — I have no idea how they do it, but they say Koreans(this being a Korean owned/patron café) are pretty hardcore at everything with the«play to win» approach. Notable favorites include the Caramel or Vanilla Chai or Café Latte or even the Matcha Tea(where you can get extra cups and refils — the extra cups have a nominal charge, but they let you refill your tea pot for free). Oh and for the remote workers or students needing a third place to work or study, don’t forget to ask for the wifi password. Theres also power if you are observant enough.

I loved it! I went there with my dad(doug)and I loved it! My parents also thought it was great for the maroons and Hot chocolate. The maroons come in many flavors and are all spectacular! The Hot chocolate was amazing and the décor is terrific! It also sells shoes that are really nice and sells stationary! I love the delicious food and MSM(My Sweet Memory is a great place for a quiet bite to eat and a nice hot chocolate.

Busy, buzzy coffee and dessert spot. My wife stopped in to look at the stationary side of the business(she was looking for a card). She didn’t get one, but was impressed by the varied and fancy notebooks, memo pads, and other forms of bound blank paper products they had on sale. I, on the other hand, was impressed by the takeaway chocolate brownie I bought and snuck into my pocket while she was occupied shopping.

This establishment conveniently made its way towards me as I left the airport, heading to the office. The ambience caught me by surprise. Really relaxing and a real stand out busy weekly morning coffee spot alternative. I mean why queue for minutes on end for some of the daily grind when you can enjoy a slower paced environment elsewhere. The memories are becoming sweet, and so is my latte among the camaraderie of sweet Asian stationery. Hey, why not buy your lip gloss and a latte at one convenient locale. The simple things in life are often the best, and this rings true with this establishment. Latte is well priced too. Elegant, chic and simple surroundings. Beauty simplified is oh so nice. Sweet.

Wait, wait, wait, what is this place? It’s my sweet Korean drama memory come true! Having lived in Sydney for some time now, one thing that’s been incredibly hard to find is a good café that is OPENLATE, has a pretty chilled out atmosphere, and strong, FREE, Wi-Fi. My Sweet Memory(MSM) offers all of this. Ambiance: –If you’re familiar with the assortment of «cute Asian cafes,» MSM’s concept won’t scare you –Pretty damn cute to the max — we’re talking mis-matched chairs, wooden/brick fixtures, and stationary/lollies that are all for sale –Plenty of table space — perfect for catching up with a group of friends, studying(if you can block out the noise), or writing Unilocal!reviews on your computer by yourself –A mixture of upbeat or emo K-pop playing ’round the clock –Asians. Not gonna lie, but this place WILL make you feel like you’re in Seoul when it’s packed. If that ain’t your up of tea — steer clear of this place. Honestly, it’s all a part of the experience. Service: –You can order take away or they’ll bring well made coffee straight to your table –I had a flat white, which was standard. What seems to be popular here are the Green Tea Lattes. I’ll be back to try one! –This doesn’t quite seem like a place to have a meal — definitely more of a café catch up place. Though, the red velvet cake is highly recommended. –Pretty clean and efficient. Need to know: –Great hours. One of the few nice cafes that opens until midnight — even on Sunday –It’s half a stationary store — so if you think you really need that cute little notebook and set of stickers, treat yo self. –Ask the staff for the internet password — it’s pretty easy and your computer will most likely remember it –Can get pretty noisy. –Oh yeah, come cardigan ready — seems to be the trend here… Ah, so glad I found this place. A place to hang out in after 10pm that’s not a bar.

Last night, after passing My Sweet Memory, or better known from the sign as MSM, I decided that today I would go there to have a proper sit-down coffee and dessert with my friend before starting the day. Its cute interior is what drew me in initially. It’s rare that I pass by a café and feel the urge to enter its premises based on what it looks like. Afterall, there is definitely a shortage of funky cafes here in Sydney in comparison to the more popular establishments in Melbourne. But hey, when you find one that tickles your fancy, it makes it a gem. Unfortunately, the look of the place and location is all that it offers. We had ordered the 5-layer red velvet cake, the carrot slice(carrot cake slice wrapped with plastic… what?), and some coffee(I opted for the vanilla latte). The cakes could have been a lot more moist and less dense. The coffee was mediocre and I would’ve prefered to grab one from Workshop Espresso instead. But hey, «don’t knock it ’til you try it.» Overall, even after being loaded with sugar and caffeine, I wish that it did better in their quality of food/drink/coffee/dessert. If you’re going to go to MSM, then enjoy the part stationary/part café relaxed vibe but don’t expect much else.

Drumroll please. And the award for freakishly weird café of the week goes to… Hang on, my brain’s still trying to process it. A café that only does desserts, is decorated in faux-French bistro crossed with a touch of Japanese schoolgirl, and which sells stationery and backpacks. And men’s shoes. Really. I’m not making it up. So you can stop in for a(not terribly good) coffee and a salted caramel macaron, pick up a yuzu handmade chocolate and overpriced notebook with the Eiffel Tower on it. And a pair of men’s sneakers. Yes, I know I’m stuck on that, but someone has not thought this through. Call me crazy, but I don’t want to have a coffee in close proximity to someone trying on shoes. Does my head in. The service was embarrassing, the poor girl spoke so little English that she had trouble with my order. That being said, I couldn’t imagine the stress involved with working retail in a language I couldn’t speak, so be gentle. Needless to say, trying to find out their opening hours was a futile gesture. Fake potplants hang upsidedown from the ceiling. A fake-vine covered ladder fights for attention with a stand selling lollipops the size of a baby’s head. Maybe I’m hallucinating.
