A few trips to New York have left me with a nostalgic yen for a good Reuben, and this is where I come. I always get the signature reuben. It’s huge and I almost never finish it but I also can’t go past their shoestring fries, which are totally addictive. I have tried various reubens around Sydney but this is definitely my favourite!

After a long day of shopping, we stopped in the Food Fair to find some food. Everything looks so good but the display case at Reuben & Moore lured us in. We ordered the Reuben Sandwich and a side of Chips and it was plenty for two people. The sandwich was stacked HIGH, filled with lots of meat. The size rivals the deli sandwiches I ate in New York. The bread was nice rye with a good textured. We would have given them 5 stars if they didn’t close so quickly when we want to order more food. I notice they have ribs and rotisserie chicken there. The seating in this area is comfortable and stylish. Not your typical food fair.

The bottom of the menu proudly boasts«voted Sydney’s best Reuben» with no explanation or qualification. After a few bites of the sandwich, I was in slight disbelief. Who did the voting? I can only assume that the votes came from a pool of people who had never had a Reuben. Or perhaps the poll had taken place years ago before there was any competition. My(admittedly short and half-assed) google research still left me without answers. The wagyu corned beef was on the dry side(but they got the colour right!), and to be honest, there wasn’t nearly enough of it. I couldn’t taste any of the advertised mustard, and I think the whole thing would have been exponentially better if the sandwich had been thrown on the grill for a few minutes. That said, I found the sauerkraut and pickles to be okay. Seriously though, if anyone knows where the«Sydney’s best Reuben» claim to fame comes from, please fill me in.

Probably the first sandwich I’ve had in Australia that was as good as the last one I had when I was last in the USA. Simple ingredients, and lots of them, makes a sandwich memorable. I had takeaway from Reuben and Moore up in the Westfields of Centrepoint in Sydney and chose the pork roll(a long way away from the pork roll of Vietnamese fame). Lots of roast pork, crackling and vanilla stewed apple. Middle of the day during a Christmas rush hour and they still managed to get it to me in around 5 minutes with a smiling face. I’ll be back.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had while in Sydney. The Reuben sandwich wasn’t quite NY style, but it was very good and the sandwich meat was very, VERY tender. Excellent. I think where it missed was possibly in whatever condiments they use. It just didn’t have the classic NY style punch, but it really was good nonetheless. I wish there were more beverage choices since sodas all contained sugar, but I should drink more water anyway. Can’t complain, really.

Worst reuben sandwich ever! Massive thick chunks of corned beef that tasted awful & it wasn’t even toasted! What a waste of $ 14.50 — I would have been happier with a burger from McDonalds. Definitely not a proper reuben sandwich.

I agree with some of the other reviewers that the Reuben here is about a third of the size of a true NYC Reuben, BUT, by Sydney standards its a big sandwich nonetheless and hey while those sandwiches in NYC are amazing, they are also an American size and a unique American experience, so I’m glad it’s not been copied. But adapted for Sydney. What it boils down to us that the sandwich is exceptionally well made and tastes great. I’ve had it many times and have not been disappointed yet. The fries are not so bad either. Additionally as a particular fan of Pulled Pork, I recommend the Pork Roll as it is great. It’s a spicier pulled pork than a lot of other places make, and it’s a really great taste, with the Apple and Fennel slaw in the roll and spicy mayo. The other sandwiches are pretty good too.

Overly fatty, ridiculously expensive and kind of unpleasant service. There wasn’t a lot of love put into this $ 15.50 sandwich. Not even a good Rueben, all things considered. If the food was good, I wouldn’t be so negative, but I’d stay away from this one. Good from far; far from good.

I ordered a Reuben and fries to takeaway. The sandwich itself was lovely, but the fries were awful. They were covered in so much salt that they were inedible and I ended up throwing them away. Come on guys, a place that charges $ 15 a sandwich should be able to get something this simple right.

I’ve been craving a Reuben for the LONGEST time and when I saw Reuben & Moore I thought I could get some Reuben goodness in my belly… sadly this was not the case. You’d think a restaurant that advertises«Michael Moore, brings a taste of New York to level 5, Westfield Sydney with Reuben & Moore, a hot and cold New York deli sandwich bar & grill.» would do the aforementioned line justice, but it doesn’t…well it does to some degree, since it gives you a taste, a TINYTASTE(proportion wise) I’ve spent ample time in New York and have spent ample time in its deli’s and if you compare a Reuben there vs. the Reuben served at this establishment, you can see with a quick web search that you get twice the meat for half the price. The meat isn’t as juicy as it could be either, and the chips taste and look like they’re taken from the frozen food aisle at any grocer. If you’re looking for a Reuben, don’t bother here… I’m still on the lookout…

Okay — I’ll admit it’s not the best Ruben I’ve ever had. BUT it is most certainly the best Ruben I’ve had in Sydney. I couldn’t stop smiling when I was eating it. Happiness on a plate people, seriously. Rosemary and sea salt fries on the side were also rocking. This is one of those places that I’ll probably never get to try anything else on the menu because every time I go I’ll order the exact same thing.
