Scenic Cycle

If you are in the doldrums with your exercise routine, then get your ass over to Scenic Cycle! You’ll find yourself whizzing through a very tough workout with a smile on your face and scarcely a thought for how much sweat and work you have left to do.
The studio is swanky, but not in the off-​putting, pilates-​style froufrou way. It’s a serious place to work out, but the facilities are nice. Well worth a membership. (and you can use ClassPass too!)

Really cool studios. I think their bikes are ³⁄₅ stars, sometimes I get placed on a bike that doesn’t have all the adjustment handles and I’m very short so it’s important I move my seat closer to the handles. And other times my knees hit the the weight rack randomly, and the weights fall off.
Locker changing room is like an improvised hallway and it gets so filled between classes that it hard to reach your locker or even walk out of the area. I can’t imagine actually changing in there as its so crowded. As for the class, it really does challenge you and its definitely worth your time. I always leave class feeling accomplished. The instructors are friendly and very knowledgable, I think some of them should probably be more verbal about where you should shift your weight with different positions. Because sometimes I see other customers moving their hips so much and or leaning on the handle bars a lot and it’s not safe.

I wish I had discovered scenic cycle earlier, during my short 4 month trip in Sydney. Great concept, amazing 45 minute work out. Loved the music they played. Online reservations are so easy. The feeling you get after each session is priceless!

So, I’ve never been to Soul Cycle or Fly Wheel but as they’re all the rage in the states I was excited when a friend told me a similar version had opened up in Sydney–
Don’t think that this is anything like the cycling classes you’d take at Fitness First or something. The whole point of Scenic Cycle is to have a fun class (think the latest jams blaring as you ride) while you bike through a particular route (Hawaii, Switzerland, you name it!). There are massive screens set up in the front of the room that you follow along with as you ride– having the road in front of you somehow manages to take away some of the pain associated with exercising.
New bikes, a great instructor, shower facilities, centrally located, class times that are conducive to people who work… this place is great.
