Welcome to Sydney Wedding Makeup artistry! Sarah specializes in airbrush makeup and creating the perfect makeup and hairstyle look for your wedding day. Sarah Sponberg has been an on site makeup artist for over 12 years. She works with local talented hairstylists to provide out clients with the best care. Our makeup artists and stylists use top quality, professional products and equipment.

History

Established in 2014.

Sarah moved to Sydney in January of 2014 after doing bridal makeup and hair full time in San Francisco. Sarah specializes in airbrush makeup and travels to locations in Sydney and beyond! Sydney Wedding Makeup Artistry is an on location company and provides services for any occasion.

I want the makeup to let that woman be the woman she wants to be that day with total self confidence! Makeup can completely transform a woman from feeling blah to glamorous and sexy in minutes!»

I am an extremely reliable makeup artist with many years of experience. I do this full time and spend many hours each day servicing brides and making sure their wedding day makeup and hair experience will be absolutely perfect. This is not my hobby, or a part time thing that I like to do in my spare time. Sydney Wedding Makeup Artistry is my focus and it is what I am best at! Makeup has always been my artistic outlet for me, and has always made me feel at ease. I love how just a little bit of makeup can change someone’s entire mood and confidence.

I have nothing but great things to say about Sarah at SF Bridal Makeup! She just did the makeup for my wedding and she did such an amazing job! She made my bridesmaids look like supermodels, my mom and mother-​in-​law were knockouts, and I couldn’t believe how natural and perfect my own makeup was. She didn’t rush through anything, she took her time with each person despite being under a bit of a time crunch. She was super professional, but really friendly and personable. And super reasonably priced! She also took feedback well, which I really appreciated. During my trial I was a little difficult and had her make some changes, and she was totally accommodating and open. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again for any important occasion. My only complaint is that I can’t have her do my makeup every day!

Sara was fantastic. I just met her the day of my court wedding, showed her what I was wearing, and she did my make-​up accordingly. I was happy with her every step of the way. She talked to me throughout the process and was able to figure out what I liked and didn’t like, it was perfect. Highly recommend.

Sarah & Traci are AMAZING. I hired them to do my hair and makeup for two ceremonies, and was very satisfied both times. They are professional, fun and personable and are artists with stunning results. All my bridesmaids looked fabulous. The airbrush makeup is so light, and lasted me all day and night. Even my hair after hours of dancing looked impeccable by the time the after party was over.

I managed to book SF Bridal Makeup at the semi-​last minute after my other vendor bailed. Sarah was professional but super friendly as was the woman who did our hair, Traci. Our venue was a challenging place to set up, and the two of them were complete pros.
They did a fantastic job on not one, but two brides, my mother, and a couple of bridesmaids. They were also really flexible, as several people decided they wanted makeup at the last minute. All five of us looked our best!

Sarah has done bridal make-​up for my sister and one of my best friends. Both times she made these women look flawless! She used spray-​on foundation for my best friend on one of the hottest days ever. Everyone’s make-​up melted off except for the bride’s! No joke. The bride is supposed to be the most beautiful woman at the wedding and Sarah has made that happen.
Also noteworthy is Sarah’s cheerfulness and calm. It seemed to me that the brides’ moment with Sarah was one of the only breaks they had for themselves.

I booked SF Bridal Makeup for my wedding last weekend. I like having vendors be an extension of my family and friends. Sarah and Marine fit right in. They kept my mom and friends moving along in a professional, but friendly manner (they can be a hard bunch to handle).
All five of us loved our hair and makeup. We all looked gorgeous! My group can be a hard bunch to please and everyone raved about their hair and makeup. If I have an important event to go to where I want my hair and makeup done, I would definitely hire SF Bridal Makeup again!

I used Sarah for an event I had, not a wedding. She came over my house, so it was VERY convenient. I basically have never had as many compliments as I received that night! Make up lasted for over 24 hours — which is important, as I am an event planner, so I run around A LOT. I looked flawless, and got 50 likes on facebook :-).

I cannot express how much I loved working with Sarah during the wedding process. As a bride planning my wedding from a distance, I did not have much time to do hair and makeup consultations while I was in the Bay Area. Sarah and Traci were the only team that I consulted with for hair and makeup and I knew immediately I picked the right team! Sarah was the easiest vendor to work with — she was prompt in responding to emails, she was creative in her makeup techniques, Traci was amazing with hair. On the day of, they kept the mood light and uplifting so I never felt stressed or on edge as they did hair and makeup for my 4 bridesmaids, mother in law, mother, and myself (not sure how they were able to do everyone in only a few short hours). I have no idea what or how Traci and Sarah keep everything is place and smudge free, but they do — I was dancing the entire night and you could not see a shine in any picture nor did a single hair come out of place. I enjoyed working with them so much that I asked them to do my hair and makeup for the rehearsal dinner as well which I kept more fun and dramatic since the day of was more «natural». I highly recommend utilizing their services for any event especially your day of.

I had a pretty particular look in mind for my hair and make-​up to complement my 1930’s-inspired wedding dress. Sarah and Traci nailed it. I have never felt more beautiful in my life with the look they created on my day. I knew after the trial that I had chosen wisely. I had shared the trial pictures with my girlfriends to rave reviews and so leading up to the wedding, I was totally excited to see the two artists again with no anxiety whatsoever. Sarah recommended the Pro-​long Mac lipstick in «Lasting Lust,» which was the perfect red that stayed on the whole night (highly recommend for this vintage, Hollywood-​starlet look). Traci did an amazing job with my hair, evoking the 1930s vintage feel with a partial up-​do that held its shape all night and totally incorporated the feather clip I bought as an accessory. From the trial to the correspondence leading up to my wedding to the wedding day itself, Sarah and Traci were professional and also very personable and fun. The kind of energy that puts a bride-​to-​be at ease.
