It will be interesting to see the Mid City store as soon as it opens. I’ve also been to the very first Uniqlo to open in Australia at Melbourne’s Emporium — amazing. In the meantime we have this pop-up at The Glasshouse. Pity that my favourite Lululemon store has(literally) been bulldozed to make way for this winter clothing sensation. Great to come here as early as possible, so to not get squashed with other Uniqlo lovers. On the other hand, also out of necessity to stay warm in Sydney this winter. Yet when you come here early, you might be served by five different staff members — being asked for assistance. Only one will do. Yet, I thoroughly like my black cashmere jumper — as well as the Heatech leggings and t-shirts. They definitely keep you warm in bed. Mmmmm… toasty.

Extremely limited range as expected. Conveniently located in Pitt Street Mall this store stocks 4 or 5 main items for each gender which will increase to their proper range when they open their Sydney flagship store later on in the year, you’re paying Aus retail for everything but it’s still better than any other store around the mall. Service is on point. Thanks Uniqlo crew.

It’s finally here!!! For a popup shop they have done well — I wouldn’t have expected too much as it’s only for publicity for their online store. Hopefully they can get a lease for a more permanent fixture in Sydney. Though I probably wouldn’t buy too much here because I visit Asia often and the prices are a lot cheaper. Still it’s a good start and a great place to impulse buy on those custom designs(«UT: the new model T») that they have. And hopefully there is some Sydney specific designs. And buying heat tech/airism gear for the right season in Australia is also good too. Note that the store doesn’t stock male heattech gear! But luckily Australian winters are mild. So take it like a real man!

To get me wrong with the A-OK review, I LOVEUNIQLO but just the pop-up store was a little disappointing. But then again, I shouldn’t have made my own expectations so friggin high lol. Funny how all the gigantanormous global fashion labels always choose Melbourne before Sydney? Zara, H&M, UNIQLO and soon MUJI. At least we have a pop-up store before the main store opens — date and venue still TBA. Pretty small pop-up, with very limited selection — jackets, plain jeans/chinos, cashmere sweaters, SPRZNY printed tees, shirts and some undergarments — that’s it! Chances are they’ll have new stuff as time progresses which means I’ll be visiting this place quite often over the next few months. Waited in line for around 30 mins and probably because of that reason I couldn’t resist to buy a UNIQLO red tee and flannelette shirt. Impulse buy? Probably. least it made me feel better haha!
